Great song, great composer and the episode succeeds in showing the creation and intention of the song. Just great.

Very intriguing stuff here, especially since Trent hasn't really don't much song breakdowns in his career. He usually talks a bit about the album but don't go into much more, but this one he talks about certain significant parts in the song, what they mean, and what he was going through.

10/10.

I've never watched this show beyond this episode, however they did a great job at telling the story, not just behind Hurt, but The Downward Spiral as well, which is the album it's on. All new material and interview footage shot just for the show. The episode is Trent Reznor's reflection on the song and album 26+ years later. Very good deep dive! Highly recommended for fans of Nine Inch Nails, or those simply curious about the earlier work of Trent Reznor!
