I love supporting indie movies. Sure, this one does deserve support. However, the budget doesn't count as an excuse for this illogical mess. Sheesh.

I liked this movie I should say. Certain parts are really well taken. I understand his tention and stress. Could be illustrated in better way but this is good enough for the budget. Different attempt, well handled.

What a waste, waste of your 1.25 hours.
Please refrain watching this movie, no story.. Budget of the movie looks like Rs.10000.

I saw this movie in Amazon while browsing, checked the IMDB rating, it was showing 7.2,I thought it must pretty good.
I finished the whole movie, the bloody plot never develops! I waited for story to unfold through out the movie length but it proved to be a damn squib. Zero Story, Pathetic and Boring Screenplay, Misleading sub plots, the End is idiotic, no impact!
Ignore this movie, do not watch!

Bannerghatta is indie- mystery-thriller film,
movie begins on an evevning protognist of the movie is driving a van. We cannot see any other charecters for an hour, we can only listen to they conversation he makes withn them through a mobile phone. After a while he comes to know that his sister who went for a job interview is not attending her call, she is probably missing. Then how the protognist try to find out what happens to his sister forms rest of the story. Makers of the film have very less money but they have great story telling craft. I really loved the emmersive experience of the film.. its a must watch film.. but i must warn you that, this is one of a kind of film, you either hate it or love it to the core.
Complete nonsense protagonist sister says landslide in Bangalore you got to be kidding and even when its a downpour there's no landslide here haven't they heard of ola? No n company takes interviews late nights when it's its ba MNC call center.. When they are in another city don't they know how to commute? Same as like any other cities its written in local language..
It started good. The first twenty minutes delivered a good experience considering the debutant director and the budget. Then the movie turned out to be a bit illogical and frustrating to watch. The story had more potential. Could have done better.

The first 20 to 30 minutes went in the driver driving the car and taking bunch of phone calls. I was lost then and there.
If the movie can not engage people in the first 5 to 10 minutes, you are sure to lose audience. That's precisely what I thought about this movie.
I normally watch most movies but this one, I could not tolerate.

Keeping the suspense for no use. Waste of time. Do not fall under fake rating.

10 minutes theme extended to 80 minutes. Nothing attractive with respect to story as well as casting.
Such an amazing movie... It's more like an art film... Really enjoyed each and every shot... Such beautifully executed...
Such a nice story telling with just 4 people, the build up was so great that each and every moment there were some other possibilities.... One night and only one person is onscreen for the majority of running time but it is more than enough to hook till the end, movie is crafted such interestingly. Really loved the performance of the lead actor. Worth watching film The story left a suspense as if he really had cocaine or it was a setup by police. Only Malayalam Movie Industry can make such movies in India. Simple mystery with Just one character for 95% of the movie onscreen. Definitely worth the time.

Disappointing &Worst. Why Prime choose this kind of films. Yes its a low budget film but still they can make this a better one if they worked on a better script.

This is the worst ever movie I have ever watched. No story, no music, no thriller or horror scenes. I would give negative marking for this movie. You can watch this movie if u want to waste you time(1hr 20mins).

This is one of the best Malayalam movies I have watched in recent times.. There is no big starcast in this film, but it doesn't matters when the film is very gripping. I really liked the idea of layered storytelling , this is a story of Ashiq and his one chaotic night drive. All we can see onscreen is only Ashiq himself. But still we can feel his every emotions and struggles so close as we are traveling with him the whole time. I could relate to his pain very much. This is more like a psychological thriller.
I have noticed more details when I watched second time. This is a gem of film. But As I said it's not everyone's cup of tea.

Aashiq is driving at night to deliver a packet, while phone calls from his wife and others keep coming in. While he says one lie after the other to each of them, unsuccessfully, he also gets a call from his sister in Bengaluru, hinting that she might be in danger. Making a story set in a moving vehicle a compelling watch is hardly easy. Film gets unfurled mostly in its protagonist's journey in the night, as constant phone calls and other interruptions disrupt things for him. Aashiq is caught up in various financial issues and as he drives in the night to get a 'packet' delivered, he gets numerous calls. One of the calls is from his sister, Aashna, and as it abruptly ends, he feels she is in danger. How well will the man handle the crisis? The movie is mostly a curious experiment with a single man appearing on screen for the longest time, though a few others make an appearance later. His distracted driving, often-concocted responses to phone calls and the dimly-lit night roads that form the backdrop build a sense of peril and bewilderment in the beginning, making the viewer wonder where it's all headed.
Overall it's not just another experimental film but a new cinematic experience.

Clearly Bannerghatta is one of the understated, unappreciated movies from recent times. Makers of the movie deserves a big appreciation for making such an attempt.
It was such a treat watching the film. Music was minimal, still sound effects and ambient sounds creates necessary tension and mystery on screen. They could have played loudly but they intentionally wanted us to experience such a way. Overall it really an unique film, rarely seen in Indian language films. Movie deserves more attention that it currently getting. I really don't know why people are not aware of this gem of a film. Hope this movie gets recognised in some point of time.

Banneghatta is movie that has very limited character and limited location. But it never restricts the film's development. Story gradually build up into a tense atmosphere.
A Well crafted film. While watching the film we can feel every nuances of Aashiq, hero of the film. We are literally traveling with him. We can feel the day today struggle of a common man. Even through he has some grey shades in him and we are not shown any other character from his life still we can empathise with him deeply. That's the magic of this beautifully made film. The pain and angst of Ashiq will remain with us even after end of movie.

I was really hooked by the film, from beginning to end.
Majority of the run time we can only see one character on screen but we dont felt like watching a single actor movie. Making is good, good screenplay, good acting, good film.
