A surprise visit from Bryson and the looming deadline of an art project are a bit too much for Liz to handle. She's also doing her best to hide something she's been keeping private for months, but, as the nerds and Bryson discover, all secrets have a way of being told--it's just a matter of time.

Liz, in the afterglow of a romantic night with Bryson, somehow finds a way to finish her "found art" project. Meanwhile, the nerds explore spaceships and text-bombing to find the best way to tell Liz some devastating news.

After finding out Bryson wasn't being completely honest with her, Liz decides to shut out all things Texas and focus on building a new life in New York. From a new crush (a charming musician named Louis) to the search for a new apartment, Liz is ready to take her new city by storm. But just when she thinks she has it all figured out, New York throws her another curveball.

Louis invites Liz to crash with him for a few days, temporarily easing her fears about surviving in New York. But her attitude changes after meeting Jordan, Louis's super-cute roommate (and band-mate!) Meanwhile, back home, Sully and Bryson call a truce in order to join forces in their quest to make contact with Liz, leaving her with a difficult decision. Does Liz stick it out in New York for the summer or does she go back home to Texas for some much-needed R&R?

The Spring semester is over and Liz finds herself without an apartment. So she goes home to Burleston to see the guys and all her favorite places. But she isn't prepared for the surprises that await her.

After Liz run away from Bryson at Taylor's graduation party, Bryson surprises Liz the next morning by bringing her a big gift box. But Liz avoids meeting him and does not open the box. Furthermore, Sully is in need of her support.

Liz returns to New York and moves in with Mark. Louis asks her out on a date, but is it a 'date' or a "date"? Especially when the guys show up and tag along, yet do not tell that they've actually come to see Bryson, who's also in New York.

While walking dogs, Sully meets a girl that takes his breath - and words - away. Louis encourages Sully to talk with her. Liz and Louis go out on a date at Mark's show, but an unexpected guest changes their evening.

Miles tries to complete his "things to do in NY" list with the guys, which means Liz "gets" to spend the day with Bryson. However, Sully excuses himself and with Louis's aid, approaches Marlene in the park.

Taylor is helping Liz, who tries to introduce Louis to graphic novels, and agrees to sing at his gig. But he's invited Bryson... The nerds find out about Marlene, and after initial jealousy, help Sully raise money to return to New York.

Summer's end. Louis is about to go on a tour for 3 months. Bryson, however, will stay in New York. Sully decides to tell Marlene how he feels and advises Bryson to do the same with Liz. At Taylor's Oktoberfest, things collide.
