This show features overgrown juveniles conducting investigations, and it's pitiful to watch. They lack any ability to connect with and communicate with the other side, and as a result, they jump to conclusions without any real evidence to support those conclusions. The whole gist of the show is to draw out spirits through bullying, taunting, agitating, and playing with whatever toys they brought. Such methods are known to create increased activity that tends to escalate long after the investigators have moved along, leaving a bigger mess for those who tend to the property to deal with down the road. Don't waste your time with this crap. There are plenty of other shows in which the paranormal investigators use responsible methods. Support those shows instead.
Save yourself the 1/2 hour to hour this is on by finding something else to watch. This should never be portrayed as reality. It is anything but. The producers should be ashamed of themselves for ruining their resume with this garbage. It is a complete waste! They do the weakest things to "envoke" spirits. Maybe a 2 second blurb that will make you want to laugh- although they are suppose to be serious. It doesn't even come across as serious.
As for the episode where Nathan "cuts" himself, they cut it real fast, then flash back where some colored stuff is on his arm, but it- to me- does not look anything like blood. Then when he is "cleaning it up" there appears to be no cut.
They yell and freak out and claim things happen yet you see absolutely nothing. All this show is going to do is to teach kids who are followers to vandalize and harm themselves in an attempt to reach a spirit. It is not a very good example. However, once they get sued for that, they might wake up.
I sincerely hope A&E does not allow this trash to continue to poison the channel. It IS seriously that bad.

You'd be forgiven for thinking this is a parody of popular ghost shows like Ghost Hunters and Ghost 'Dude' Adventures. Because there's a lot of those shows now the only way to get a piece of the action is to be more extreme than them so that's what they've gone for. This basically translates into a lot of stunts like burying the fat eunuch looking guy alive while chucking their own blood around as an offering.
How about a summoning...in a lake? Extreme enough for you yet? This is so over the top I'm sure even the Paranormal State team are watching and laughing at them. It's heavily scripted (check out their 'surprise' when their friend turns up at pen state) and they turn up nothing interesting at all.
Just don't get too attached to these guys because I don't think this is second season material. It's one thing to wander around with a video camera looking for ghosts, that can be fun to watch but seeing a bunch of fat guys bleeding themselves so they can perform rituals to contact the dead? No thanks, that's not healthy on any level and nor is it interesting to watch.

I really liked this show. I have watched others like it, only finding myself to place this closest to the canceled show entitled Paranormal State, in terms of overall appeal and like-ability. I watched this straight through Season 1 Episode 1, both parts of the only two part episode of this show that exists, and can honestly say I was not bored not even once. Very entertaining, very sadistic, very exciting. It's a take on paranormal investigating from the point of view of a more reckless group of people.. and it was fun to watch them try to taunt the dead. I wish I could watch more of these episodes. The other shows like this on television try to give a point of view from a crew or group of folk that are generally more modest and approach the paranormal with caution. The crew in this show is raising hell in hopes of getting a spirit to manifest. Cool idea. Love the concept.
I made it to 22 minutes into the first show before I turned it off.
I started watching this because I thought it was a legitimate ghost hunting show. After a couple minutes of watching it, I decided it was a parody of the ghost hunting shows. I came here to IMDB to find out who the actors were.
Not only is it NOT a parody but the people in this show actually believe they're ghost hunters!
Really bad how with a really bad script with really bad actors.
All the "evidence" occurs off camera. The "shadow figure" they saw? Nope, didn't believe it for a second. Then, there was a laughable moment where one of the guys slit his wrist to do a picture on the floor? Really?
This show is an incredible joke and don't waste your time.
Turned it off so I could watch a show with good actors in it.
