This show has got to stop making fun of itself

This episode is just another in a series of bad, self mocking, silly episodes. I can understand 1 or 2 of these scattered throughout the season, and it would be understandable to have 1 of these jokey episodes after such serious, stark episodes that preceded these. So far though, most of the episodes this season have been these inconsequential, comedic, crap episodes. When they are the butts of a big joke, like this "supernatural convention" in praise of Sam and Dean, this kind of outlandish silly humor just takes me right out of it. Give me Macabre, give me evil, give me dark and scary, but not a self deprecating travesty like this "the Real Ghostbusters" "changing Channels" or "Curious Case of Dean Winchester". Hopefully Supernatural will get back to its over-arching, dramatic and suspenseful main story line and we can stop wasting time ad my attention on buffoonery. This show was really strong for a while there and I love the apocalyptic story arch, hope you can get back to business guys, get back to the scary.

    Funny, meta, good ghost

Classic ghost, hilarious, drama, this episode is just buckets of fun. Only spn can do something this crazy.

It straddles the line between including fans and mocking them.

This is probably the episodes most damaged and changed by the later revelations around Chuck. Everything involving his character plays a lot darker now; this episode lovingly poked fun at some of the excesses of the fan culture but now it plays with ever so subtle mockery of the hardcore fans. It is hard to see Damien and Barnes as anything but objects of derision. It feels more like mocking their queer fans they including them in some way. It is a pity because this use to be a near perfect meta episode. Now we are left wondering where the laughing *with* stops and the laughing *at* begins.

    Barf

The single worst episode in the first five seasons.. Holy crap so cringey

Nice episode...waste of time for the series...

This episode was hilarious, why? It's simple: Supernatural fan convention, and that includes:

-parkinglot full of '67 Impala Chevy's

-bunch of douche-bags dressed up like, using same words like...Dean and Sam

But...it get's better as the two Winchesters find out that there's an actual hunting...and they do the hunting very old-school(seasons 1 and 2 like)diggin',salt, gasoline and lighter...all that with a little help from some Sam and Dean wannabes.

Oh by the way you should watch this episode for that crucial information Sam gets...

Anyway, what i really want to say is that this kind of episodes are here just to fill in the season because the writers routined us with seasons of 22 episodes and perhaps they could end this season in 3 eps but tending to respect the rule they're draggin it with episodes like this. And they usually tend to reveal only one information, for example:

In "The curious case of Dean Winchester"-what Bobby looks for

In "Changing Channels"-who the Trickster is...

Or now-where that "particular item" they're searchin' for might be...

"Rise and shine Sammy! Rise and shine..."
