Beyond the Sea

The title of the episode is based on a sad love song.

The title of the episode is based on a sad love song. The title of the episode is amazing, as the original song describes the relationship between Cersei and Rex, which is a wonderful relationship. I noticed that many hated the relationship, but I loved it. It is not that silly love drama and this nonsense is an absolute romantic, difficult and impossible, and their relationship is completely realistic. Wonderful episode

S1.E3 Beyond the Sea

For more of my revewis check out my Channel on YouTube Nixonistoblame23 .

S1. E3 "Beyond the Sea" is an alright take. I think at this point in the show, most of the audience is getting into it, but there is still something missing, and I can't tell what it is.

In this episode, Rex meets Circe, a girl who is an evo and can pass as human, just like Rex.

Think of it this way: it does add some depth to their relationship.

Circe is an evo who looks like a human but can't live as one. She doesn't feel like she belongs as a human or an evo, and so does Rex, as he doesn't feel like a normal teen or a full evo. In that light, they find common ground that connects them, which adds so much depth to their relationship. Sure, they won't continue with that dynamic, but that is a story for another day.

Adding more character dynamics.

Rex just wants to feel normal once in a while and therefore he sneaks out with Noah and Bobo to Spring break at a resort on the beach.

On that beach he meets Circe who is an outcast and feels left out of the world because of its resentment towards E. V. O.'s which also makes her click with Rex.

The sad truth is just that she has chosen to join Van Kleiss and his Pack for whom she is doing an initiation ritual of fighting a ferocious sea E. V. O. To Rex' dismay.

With this Romeo and Juliet dynamic set up, we get another great character dynamic going which undoubtedly will develop as the series progress, and it also addresses the ever present feelings of being different when you are like Rex and Circe.

highlight is the romance

The action, comedy animation, everything was good except the soundtrack. I don't know why american animations do not have INTENSE soundtracks.

Above all the things, the romance was the highlight. Not a typical love but between enemies.

8.6 Circe and the pack

I am not a fan of romance in general in animation stories because it is always illogical and hasty and exists only because the writer has nothing new to add to the story.

So when the writers decided to write an episode about the beach and some annoying teens and Rex falling in love with a girl he didn't get a chance to get to know her name, I wasn't really excited and felt like this was going to be some bad filler episode.

However, these fears soon turned into great respect after the writers of this episode succeeded in transforming this episode into what I cannot find a description of except a tour in the mind of a teenager from all the anxiety, fatigue, psychological pressure and other problems.

The writers succeeded in creating a refreshing text full of vitality, although it lacks something, and at times the story seems somewhat incoherent.
