I remember being incredibly disappointed when I found out that this show was to be a "Summer Burn-Off" and that it wouldn't last more than thirteen episodes. The reason I was disappointed was because I really enjoyed watching this show. I felt like the humor was very similar to that of "Scrubs" and even "How I Met Your Mother" in that the writing was corny and oftentimes unrealistic, but the characters were solid and so were the actors who played them. I'm upset that I'll never know what the fates of the characters would have been, as it was cancelled after twelve episodes. I would definitely lobby for them to open production back up and for them to give it another try. Unfortunately that's not how the business works. Hope to see great things from all the actors involved in the future.
Recently caught two episodes of this network show. The first was OK, the second dismal. Sort of a "Friends" crossed with a daytime soap opera. The only interesting aspect was some quick shots of couples having sex. And there wasn't nearly enough of those. Also, are we ever going to see two people naked and having sex? Someone always seems to be wearing some article of clothing. I suspect the audience for this would surge if the network had a little more gumption and pushed the nudity envelope. As it is, this show will be dead soon enough. It is poorly acted and not particularly well written, and the actors are generic at best, much like soap opera actors.
I'll be honest: I only bothered watching this show for two of its stars, Danneel Ackles and Zach Cregger, and I didn't really expect to enjoy it. The plot sounded unoriginal, and I have very little faith in movie and TV studios to actually bother making things good anymore. That said, I absolutely adore 'Friends with Benefits,' and I think anyone with a sense of humor and no ego will, too.
The show is solid. All its lead actors are adorable and funny, both slapstick and subdued in their humor, and play their roles with a simplicity and honesty that makes them hard to hate. Each episode features a standalone storyline interwoven with the established, budding, and evolving relationships amongst the group of friends, and everything about them is right.
The real reason people don't seem to like this show is, as far as I can tell, that people seem to have very high standards for what they consider comedy. Naturally, there are comedies that are brilliantly crafted instant classics, and 'FWB' isn't one of them. What it is, though, is playful escapism that will make you giggle, if not laugh hysterically, every episode. And, if you're lucky enough to watch it with a friend like I am, the source of endless new inside jokes.

Don't write these often but I had to after reading some of its reviews. This show is orginal, funny, and interesting. The episodes are only 20 minutes long too. They're not a lot of TV series that are a 10/10 and this is not one but they definitely deserve another season and their actors and actresses act their asses off so there's that
I started to watch this show mostly because of Danneel (Harris-)Ackles. I saw the trailer on youtube and I kinda liked it, I thought "why not? it seems fun"; so I started it.
The first episode wasn't that bad, however in my opinion it wasn't better than 6/10. The next three episodes were satisfactory, but the more episodes I watched the worse it became.
Around episode 4 or 5, the show wasn't funny anymore. It was idiotic, non- realistic (which is, as regards, not necessarily important 'cause it's a TV show), annoying with non-lovable characters and stupid decisions, not to mention the dialogs.
In summary, it wasn't worth my time. I didn't even watch it to the end.
