I just cannot believe how such 'bad' movie can actually be made these days. All the 'aviation' related material is simple a joke. Everything is wrong I cannot even know where to start from. The graphics of the airplane are horrible.
Example? How can 'cargo' be untied in the cargo compartment in a plane? Both pilot 'sticks' move independently... and sideways too!!! For such a 'modern' aircraft, the interior is of an old aircraft... (lack of taste here)... Since when the Autopilot Control Box is in the cargo compartment and exposed.... I don't understand 'how' these kind of movies actually are permitted to go out... Bad acting (cheap actors), bad script, bad direction... How can it be possible. Gheee... Not even kids will swallow it... Bad Movie overall

Awful, just so utterly awful, you'd think the film-makers were about to throw couple of thousand dollars on a fire, and then thought to make this instead. As a joke. I just can't believe that the actors could keep a straight face throughout all of this.
The only thing I learnt from this movie is that all satellites make bleepy noises in orbit when they're being accessed.
The rogue mega-laser tearing up a street and a couple of buses was pretty funny, but the best humour comes when the plane is coming almost at street level over the city, people are running terrified, and a young woman stops to look over her shoulder. And we get a close up. She has a look on her face like she has mild indigestion. And then she continues running. Class.
If they'd pitched this as a comedy I might actually have bought it!

The poor plot, acting and everything else have already been touched on, but I was very amused at the Secret Service woman who just sat by and let people get shot and a hand cut off when shes sat there holding a gun and apparently the bad guys will always freeze when she aims at them.. I have to say though, my favourite line was " Madam President, the Secret Service informed me that the First Lady and your children are in the bunker". Either that went completely unnoticed by the film makers and the 'actress' who said it, or they are quietly trying to imply that the female President is gay. Can't say I've ever seen a film before where they've suggested that, so I like it just for having some balls!
Well, right from the moment I laid eyes on the cover to this movie, I thought this was going to be one of those movies. You know the kind that I am talking about, the movies that you just know are going to be crappy. And I was right, no doubt about it.
First of all the story, well parts of it were alright, but parts of it were ridiculous. The Aryan Brotherhood? What? Why? Why would they be causing something like that? I am not pro or con to the Aryan Brotherhood, but the usage of their organization and name in a movie of this type seemed so out of place. Secondly, there were so many mistakes and dumb things throughout the movie. The sky marshal on the plane? Was he blind? Or had he just gone to the Evil Henchman School of Aiming? He was the worst marksman ever! The effects in the movie were, well lets just say questionable. The CGIs were mostly watchable, but not really believable.
It was funny to see Scott Valentine and Meredith Baxter together on the screen again. Most from my age would probably remember them playing together in the "Family Ties" TV show.
Well, this movie was bearable to watch, but definitely not one that you would want to return to again later for a second viewing. There are far worse disaster movies out there than this one, though. If you have nothing else to watch, and just want to lay waste to an hour and a half, then this could do the trick. But I highly doubt it, as there are far more interesting movies out there to pick from.

I quite enjoy watching really bad B movies. Some are very good in a very bad way but most of all they are very funny because they are not intended to be.
If you consider Ed Woods B movies from the 50's which were truly awful but today are kind of classic for their awfulness they really are in a different league of B movie to this. Ed Wood was a little bit nutty and totally believed in what he was doing, that's what made his movies great. Anyway, in today's world it really amazes me anyone would put up the money for this utter drivel. The makers have tried to make a serious suspense movie but have failed on ever level imaginable including those you cant imagine. I couldn't watch it all. Cliché after cliché and just so utterly predictable. Highly irritating within about 3 nano seconds. If the plane had crashed and everyone died within the first five minutes of the film and then it just went on to show pictures of fake log fire for the next hour and a half I would have been satisfied. At least then there would have been a point, insulting, but a point never the less.
Please, if your going to make a B movie make it truly awful. Have the scenery falling down, when actors fluff their words, just carry on. Have the decency to respect the genre.
