I think it was a typical "Castle" case with twists

I liked this episode. I do not live in the US and I'm not American, and I don't think the racial types were exaggerated in this ep. or anything. There are black and white people involved in the case (the accused is a black man) but I was not looking into discrimination issues and therefore I did not find any.

I think this was a nice Castle ep. The plot is triggered by a murder that Castle and Beckett investigate, with the help of the awesomes Ryan and Esposito. They find twists along their investigation that bring them back and forth among several apparent suspects until they find the guilty one, which for me was unexpected. The guy here that said the show is predictable and boring, well, he must be a psychic, you should try Medium! For me it was the pretty usual "Castle", great performances and chemistry from all the actors, good dialogs, twists and quality.

In the scene when Captain Montgomery goes to D.A. Karnacki's office, the D.A. is drinking the famous scotch from the episode Last Call (2010).
    • Goofs
Lainie says she found cyanide in a time release capsule in the victim's stomach, then goes into great detail about how it wouldn't dissolve until it reached his intestines. Since he died from the poison in the capsule he took in the morning, there would be no traces of the capsule in his stomach since it had entered his intestines and dissolved away to release the cyanide.

Kevin Ryan: "Cowards die many times before their death. The valiant never taste of death but once."

Javier Esposito: Bro, you're not Castle.

Kevin Ryan: Yeah, I know I'm not Castle.

Javier Esposito: Then stop trying to talk like him.

Kevin Ryan: What? I'm not allowed to reference the Bard? I'm a renaissance man.

Javier Esposito: Memorizing one quote does not make you a renaissance man.

Kevin Ryan: What if I memorize two?

Javier Esposito: Have you? memorized two?

Kevin Ryan: No. But what if I did?

Javier Esposito: Depends on the quote.
