    Funny, sweet and serious

There are a lot of good quotes in this episode both funny and sweet.

There's some good physical comedy also.

This is one of the more sentimental episodes with Rick and Alexis.

Deduction for the writers, at the end, reverting back to inserting tension between Beckett and Castle via a method they used toward the end of the previous season. This is the cheap and easy way but it really doesn't fit.

    • Trivia
The first-run airing closes with a modified version of Stephen J. Cannell 's production logo (Cannell typing on his typewriter, then pulling out the page; it flutters down to a stack of papers which curl into a series of concentric C's). Here, the words "Mentor, Colleague, Friend" have been added, and the pulled page now flutters out of frame, leaving "We'll miss you, pal" on the screen. Cannell passed away earlier that month. He had previously appeared on the show as one of Castle's writer friends.
    • Goofs
At the end when Castle opens the doors and asks "Just you?" and the angle changes to Alexis, camera microphone and top of the camera can be seen over the edge of the armchair.
    • Quotes

Richard Castle: [stumped by a question of Alexis'] How do you know when you're in love?

Kate Beckett: All the songs make sense.

    • Crazy credits
The episode ends with a tribute to writer/producer/actor Stephen J. Cannell, who had passed away in Sept 2010 a month before this episode had aired. The Stephen J Cannell Productions logo plays out (Cannell types at his desk and pulls out a sheet of paper which forms the logo), but it is modified: the paper floats away, and it reads "Mentor. Colleague. Friend. We'll miss you, pal."
