    Broadsky Returns

There are shades of gray. When it comes to vigilantes it is the line between the law and the underlying justification for their actions. We met Broadsky in a previous episode. He and Booth were Snipers and knew each other in the war. Booth feels superior because he has a moral compass. But like Sweets has said at times, subjectivity is a rather broad brush. Broadsky is killing the most horrific people, especially those who have gotten away with things, even those who have been imprisoned. Booth and Brennan speak philosophically, but Booth doesn't get her. She knows that good and evil are impossible to define and absolutes are hard to draw.

    I'm a believer again!

I felt like Bones jumped the shark back in Season 4, and I pretty much stopped watching entirely. This episode, however, has drawn me completely back in! This episode was a real turning point, in my opinion, with the perfect balance of character focus and dramatic plot. I am once again a huge BONES fan! Clearly there has been a huge improvement in the talent of the writers! If anyone else out there is like me, and became disengaged with the show, now is the time to return. I'd love to see more about the sniper (spin offs?), as it's quite reminiscent of the original James Bond short stories. The "B" plot was great, too, which I'm not often overly excited about.

    Great episode!!!!!

Hannah is gone and Booth and Brennan are back! This episode reminded me a lot of my other favorite Bones episodes (first Gravedigger, the Kennedy one, Verdict in the Story). Cool case worthy of the FBI and Jeffersonian plus a great, heartfelt Booth and Brennan moment in the end. Also it was a little less bloody than the first sniper episode which is a good thing in my opinion. Another great thing about the episode is it featured all my favorite side characters including Caroline Julian, Vincent Nigel Murray (my favorite intern other than Zack) and Angela's dad (who I love!). Can't wait to see how the sniper plot pays off (also next week's episode looks awesome).

    Very Good Episode

I am surprised to see that this episode only has a 7.6 average rating...I thought it was very good. I like having a recurring "bad guy," especially one who brings up conflicting emotions in a character (in this case Booth.) I look forward to seeing where this sniper plot line is headed. Also, I loved the plot line with Angela's dad in this episode! It was quite funny, though Hodgins might need to look into tattoo removal sometime soon... I also liked the traditional B&B moment in the end of the episode. It definitely made me smile. Next week's episode looks fantastic, I can't wait :)

Additional comment- Where did Cam's haircut come from? Random. I had to take a double take since she was barely in this episode...

    • Trivia
Hodgins says they'll name the child Michael Joseph if it's a boy or Katherine Temperance if it's a girl. Michael Peterson wrote this episode, and Joseph is Booth's middle name. Also, Joseph Michael are real names of Dusty Hill, the other long-bearded member of ZZ Top band. Kathy Reichs is the inspiration behind Bones, and Temperance is Bones' first name.
    • Goofs
On Booth's computer it describes Paula Ashwaldt at 5'11" and 185 lbs, but the next scene shows Paula portrayed by Marisa Ramirez who is 5'6" and too slender to be 185 lbs.
    • Quotes

Angela's Dad: You're one fine *fine* woman.

Angela Montenegro: Okay, dad. What do you want?

Angela's Dad: Your first born child.

Angela Montenegro: [Chuckles] You know, to a lot of people, that would totally freak them out.

Angela's Dad: I heard his name in one bad get-down boogie-down Blues number.

Angela Montenegro: Isn't that exactly how you found my name?

      Angela's Dad: Yes, and that's a fact!

Angela Montenegro: That name that I hated so much that I changed it as soon as I could.
