After making repairs on their home, Dagwood can't rest for the kids and their rowdy friends. He remarks that he'd sell the house if it weren't for Blondie. She says it's just as much his house as hers and she'd go along with him selling it. But, she also doesn't think he's serious. He talks things over with best friend and broker Herb who starts working things up for him, embellishing a newspaper ad. Meanwhile, Dagwood mentions his intentions to Mr. Dithers who says he may have a buyer in his influential friend, Mr. J. Pierpoint Perkins (busy character actor Harry Harvey). The family is upset when they learn Mr. Perkins is coming to see the house. Dagwood tries to take the house off the market, but Mr. Dithers insists he not be made a fool of. They compromise by having Mr. Perkins and his wife (Geraldine Hall) view the home as unattractive as possible, but they still see its potential.

Blondie is unexpectedly nasty in this one.

In this episode of the "Blondie" TV series, Blondie seems pretty nasty and I felt sorry for poor old Dagwood. First, he wanted to go hunting with a friend since he's been working so hard and Blondie tells him NO (as if she's his mother) and makes him do chores. During this time, she and the kids do nothing but make Dagwood's life misterable (with Blondie electrocuting him and the kids being total brats and running under the ladder repeatedly when Dagwood is up on this ladder). Poor guy. Then, in frustration, Dagwood announces that he'd love to sell the house and move some place nicer...and she agrees. So, Dagwood arranges for a sale....and just before it could go through, Blondie announces she wasn't serious about selling the house and she refuses to move! Why should Dagwood be mistreated so? After all, it's not funny....and rather cruel. Because of this, it's a very disappointing episode...as was the previous one for similar reasons...as Blondie seems selfish and mean-spirited towards a man who is a very good and loving husband.
