Probably the best anime/manga i've ever watched
Sankarea is truly an incredible anime. Though it has simple concepts and sometimes very dark ones, the execution is fine. The main thing that completely carries this anime is the characters-mainly the main characters Chihiro and Rea. The two together are such a joy to watch and really heart-warming, considering Rea's sad and horrific backstory. It's really a beautiful concept to have this story be about Rea learning to be a normal girl while being the furthest thing away from normal (a zombie).
Though, like every other review here, there is one glaring issue with this anime: the fanservice. I, for one, don't care about it. I was never here to watch fanservice or pay attention to it. That's not everybody, though, and a lot of people might be turned off by this. I strongly recommend you just ignore these faults and continue watching since it's so worth it, but it's understandable if you can't.
Also, I'd like to recommend the manga to anyone who liked watching this anime, since personally it brought me to tears reading it-though the ending is really, really soul-crushing.

Review of sankarea anime
Great anime it's complete romance mystery comedy drama the only problem is just one fan servce sence
But it still wonderful but you have read manga to finish the story and I really do love this manga it's a good show with original weird story but deep in the same time you have to watch it I give it 8/10.
Very Strange..
This show left me asking myself "what the heck am I watching?" after every single episode. However, even though it was definitely weird it was also oddly captivating. The plot was interesting and though I was repeatedly baffled by the strange nature of the situation I still continued watching it.
To be honest the show isn't bad but it did bother me how they tried to give a redemption moment to the father when he did very despicable things to his daughter from taking nude photos to slapping her repeatedly and destroying her relationships with others. I would have felt better if they didn't let him still have some leeway into her life (undead or not). Over all, it was definitely a step out of my usual comfort zone for me and would recommend to people who enjoy something odd and different
Great anime jaser
It's a great anime with good romance mystery comedy the opening and ending are so good the only problem is one fan servce since
In ep 5 but it's still really good they didn't make a second season so you have to continue with manga but it's worth reading and great like the show so don't let this original store behind you you will not find something like this.
could have been awesome...
I liked this show, but it had the potential to be so much better...
Furuya is obsessed with zombies and his dream girl is a zombie, which would be weird normally, but this is anime...anyway, he meets Rea, a rich girl who has problems at home and wants to get away from her life and start a new one...meanwhile Furuya's cat dies and he uses an old resurrection spell to revive it (as you do) which turns it into a zombie...I won't spoil the story, but you can tell where this is going...
The animation was cool and the characters were interesting, but it was fairly light-hearted stuff, considering the subject matter...I would have preferred them to go down a darker path and make it more for adults, but that's just me...anyway, it's still pretty good...
