Not much more to say without spoilers. It's not the worst found footage movie, it's far from the best. It's watchable late night entertainment that you probably won't remember for long.
This was a well thought out plot and was executed pretty well for being a low budget found footage film. I enjoyed watching the movie & looking forward to what was going to happen next. This is not your typical found footage film. It had a good plot and good acting.
It could've used a bit more details here and there to add to the storyline, like putting a little more effort into the ending for example, but overall it was nicely done. I would recommend this film for a couple reasons: it was enjoyable to watch on its' own and it's a great example of what should be expected with any low budget film. Good acting and attention to detail in making a low budget film are key and this is one of those that were done right.

Cast is good story well written. The low budget didn't stop me from being sucked into this story. Would love to see a sequel!
I loved this movie. It was a refreshing take on a two beat to death sub-genres. I went in knowing that it was a low-budget zombie flick playing the "found footage" card and it turned out way better than what I was expecting.
The budget (or lack thereof) really only shows in the CDC room (equipment is just too low-tech) and maybe on some zombie makeup closeups. There are a few shaky acting bits but Gareth David-Lloyd's performance as Jacob Fitts makes up for that.
All in all this is a well-written original story by Robert A. Palmer & Michael A. Weiss, IMHO. The GoPro shots are are also amazing. Outstanding indie horror filmmaking for sure. Kudos to all involved.

This is a low budget exercise with an uneven story, switching randomly between story lines. It couldn't be consistent with the found footage genre--featuring several angles and shots of scenes featuring main characters--which was distracting. Frequently alludes to being "In the Rockies" but mostly shot in flat savannah, river floodplains or irrigation ditches. Early on a main character is floating DOWNSTREAM to reach the mountains. Huh? Zombies roam main street for a long time before the crack reporters pick up on it. These might have been overlooked with a less predictable plot. Still, you might enjoy it for its sincerity. Just keep your expectations low.
