Alyssa Diaz, Mekia Cox, and Tru Valentino in The Collar (2022)

Review by dan-2199

The Collar

The Rookie

6/10

So many plot holes, so little time...

Overall, my wife and I like this show. But sometimes the episodes are poorly written with big plot holes or they're just plain silly. In this case, it's plot holes.

Radio signals can trigger bombs, so stay back. But then they call the person with the bomb - with a cell phone which uses radio signals.

Then we have the classic "which wire do I cut?" trope. Seriously?!? This is after another incident with another bomb made the course of action clear in this case.

At least some of the romantic angles were advanced in the story line.

This show is generally well produced. The acting is good and believable. One final observation - if you're going to use bodycam footage, can it at least be integral to the story telling rather than just randomly cutting them on and off?
