Jack Whitehall in Bad Education (2012)

Ruined

First three seasons were great, really funny, eight out of ten probably.

Fourth season just ruined it. Literally zero points. So i have given 2 because of the first three seasons.

The new characters are just not funny. Like terrible. And neither are the two returning main characters. Shame as they were funny in the first three seasons. Particularly Steven, just not funny. Rude. But not funny rude. Just arrogant rude.

I don't understand how something can go so rubbish. Attempting to tick boxes and end up with rubbish non funny nonsense that pleases nobody. Well except people that have low intelligence.

Lives up to its title

The biggest problem with this show is that it tries WAY too hard to both funny and hip for the kids.

Jack Whitehall is an okay actor, but he tries so hard to humiliate himself to get a cheap laugh. To be honest, some of his jokes work, others don't.

The episode where he asks a farmer "Do all meerkats come from Russia?" is just so cringeworthy.

The students are stereotypes that we have seen in other High School comedies. We have the gay kid, the smart Asian one, the slut, the tough kid and the wannabe rapper.

The show also suffers from really annoying dubstep music, again trying too hard to be cool for the target audience.

Also, the editing......... dear God, the EDITING! It looks like a child edited this. Jokes have to work because of the timing, but when you have sudden jump cuts between comedic scenes, it doesn't work.

But the number one thing I hate about this show is Fraser.

I HATE THIS CHARACTER WITH A PASSION!

I get that the joke is that he tries too hard to be cool and fails everytime, but he is just not funny. You can't have a character suddenly shouting "REWIND!" and "TOP BANTER!" and expect it to be funny. Its like a child tugging at his or her's parents clothes and saying "Look at me!"

This show is like Jack Whitehall's stand up; Only funny in small doses.

Bad comedy

Not funny. Just not funny. A television show can be well produced, reasonably directed, fairly well acted, and technically proficient, but still be awful because the script is poorly derivative and because it has Jack Whitehall in it, desperately trying to fuse the styles of other comedians into his performance to come up with something believable, but still desperately failing. Who the hell would laugh at this pathetic drivel? If a comedy isn't funny, what is the point in making it or showing it? They should have just cancelled it as a bad mistake. I've had funnier toothaches. Did I mention that this is just not funny?
