Plot - This story is a bit like the X-Men in some respects. I don't think its a rip-off, but the set up is a bit similar. The tone and overall events are very different though. This is not a story I would spoil, all I'm going to say that it is very entertaining and well-executed.
Characters - Everyone here is well written. While you might be hesitant to continue watching after discovering how powerful one of the main characters is, be rest assured that this anime does not go off the rails. The overpowered characters have personalities and weaknesses. They were written by someone who knows how to write powerful characters and still make the plot engaging.
Animation - The animation in this show is brightly colored, slick, and visually interesting. The op is fantastic, as well as the character designs. This show looks great.
Overall, I would highly recommend watching this anime.
