Great Action Comedy
I enjoyed the first one but really didn't know what to expect with the second one... but sure enough it delivered and it delivered hard. One of the better action comedies I've seen in a long time. Good story, well choreographed action scenes and solid cast but most of all this movie had heart. Trejo and Glover are hilarious together. What I love best is that this movie doesn't take itself seriously as it takes a page out of some of the great '80's action comedies complete with tongue in cheek one liners. Loved that they cast Jonathan Lipnicki ("Jerry Maguire") and the addition of Loni Love takes the comedy to a whole other level. Was very excited to hear that they're making a third installment of the film with third Bad Ass John Amos. "Expendables" got nothing on this movie.
You'll See...It's Not to Make Fun of Seniors...Especially These Two!
Many reviewers explained the plot, so there's no sense in regurgitating it. The film is a by the book action/revenge tome. Many have also watched "Bad Ass". Now Danny Trejo aka "Bad Ass" aka "Frank Vega" finds a sidekick in Danny Glover (Bernie). Many make fun of them because they are seniors. They don't make fun of them for long. It is not nice to show disrespect to your elders, especially these two guys. Trejo and Glover share some funny patter. The film is not believable, but quite entertaining. Next up will be "Bad Asses on the Bayou." The film is most likely "second verse, same as the first." So what? By the way, Trejo could play an old Fidel Castro. There is a resemblance.
As bad ass as the original bad ass.
As if we needed more bad ass than the great Danny Trejo attempting to create a new cult franchise to complement his major motion picture franchise, Machete, they give us another well know bad ass in the legendary Danny Glover.
I have to admit, Glover is cool and all, but it has been a long time since the Lethal Weapon franchise and his performance in the movie reflects it. He seems to play more old man than bad ass. What he does bring in full effect is total humor as the real bad ass's side kick, a role he always done well, and this is no exception.
Wacth Trejo kick some ass, get the girl, and save the day,and watch Glover make you laugh. Totally worth the time.

Great and funny movie
Great movie. Great mix with Danny Trejo and Danny Glover. Very funny movie. Good to see Danny Trejo in comedy. Danny Glover still has it as a great actor. Both together is an excellent mix. Thought the first movie was good. The second even better. Will be watching the third part soon. So good to see Trejo play a role other that a killer. He is a good comedian along with Glover
An Old White Guy Will Complete the Trio
This Sequel to the also DTV Bad Ass (2011) is More Entertaining and Funny than it has Any Right to be. The Humor here works Better than the Mega Million Dollar The Expendables (2010) & 2 (2012) and that is just Incomprehensible.
But here it is and this Time Our Espanic Geriatric Kick Asser (Danny Trejo) is Teamed Up with Another Social Security-ian, African American Danny Glover. It is with Some Charm that They go about Their Business of Taking Out the Trash.
Things Might get Overstated a Bit in the Sexual Allure Department Once Again as Both are Given Much Younger and Attractive Females to Bed and Although this is Probably Made for Light Hearted Yuks, it comes across as just Yucky.
The Rest of the Movie Delivers Good One Liners and Bloody Violence in the B-Movie Tradition and in this Aging Baby Boomer Society there is Likely to be a Bevy of these Graybeards Refusing to Retire Gracefully as long as there are Villains About.
