After a lackluster pair of One-Shots in Phase One, the MCU delivers an upgrade to the shorts with Agent Carter. Annoyed and disrespected in the workforce following the events of Captain America: The First Avenger, Agent Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) sits behind a desk, watching as other agents fail to make a difference. Being notified of a major assignment, she decides to take matters into her own hands once again. While her adventure is fun, it's yet again quite an inconsequential side story, with only the ending adding anything to the larger MCU. Although it did act as a backdoor pilot to the Agent Carter television show, it is mostly forgotten and written off as quick and fun action.
