Era of KFI where dark comedy was not even a thing

This movie could have been in the list of Bests of KFI but one thing, in my opinion, was not there. That one thing is fight sequences. It was so unnecessary for the whole plot. Everything is so to point, how can I describe that.

As my review title suggests, when there was no concept of dark comedy this movie starts off with great first half. First half is so intelligent, every dot is connected well. But, in the era where you have to have some "masala" for mass audience, the second half serves that purpose sub optimally. If everything was only emotion and "Drama" this movie would have been a 10/10.

Sick

If the film has to be summed up in one word, I would use 'sick'. There is no life or meaning to the story.

There isn't a single all-time low in our Kannada Film Industry (KFI). We record new lows every year. The saddest part is that this film is - supposedly - from one of our best directors. During a 'Karataka Gamanaka' film's press meet, SRK had compared Yograj Bhat to Puttanna Kanagal. It is insulting to Puttanna and us viewers.

Can't people like Bhattru adapt a successful novel or play into a film? They can, but they won't, and we have to suffer an illogical mess like 'Drama'.

KFI is the same industry that has given many meaningful films in the past, and most of them were from good, successful stories that were written by sensible writers for discerning readers. It's a pity that we are living in this era, instead of the golden era of KFI.
