    Always read the label.

Morgue janitor Cornelius (Wayne W. Johnson) doesn't read the toe tags… if he did, then he probably wouldn't have climbed on board a Jane Doe for a spot of necro-nookie: according to the girl's label, she either died of radiation exposure or an unknown STD. Either way, it's bad news for Cornelius, who turns into a manky zombie rapist who quickly spreads his infection to his wife, who in turn spreads the infection to her mailman, who proceeds to transmit the disease to a gas station attendant. Before long, there are sex mad zombies all over the place—bad news for a group of teenagers who stop for the night at a nearby motel on their way to spring break.

I've been known to enjoy very low-brow movies in the past, but Night of Something Strange takes puerile vulgarity and crass horror to a whole new level, so much so that I actually felt embarrassed for those taking part—not just because the actors are required to perform lurid acts that are above and beyond the call of duty, but because the finished product just isn't amusing enough to make their debasement worthwhile. Used tampon eating, a fart-in-the-face gag that involves follow through, a masturbation scene, accidental male-on-male butt sex (the film's absolute nadir, which is preceded by some rimming), a tidal wave of zombie ejaculate, and mutated genitalia: just some of the outrageousness on offer that I found too tasteless and moronic to tickle my funny bone.

    Wild and entertaining

A morgue janitor decides to rape a female corpse that died from "radiation exposure/STD? - some living cells." Back at home he suffers from groin pain, turns into a zombie, and attacks his partner, rapes her, and rips some of her insides out. She too turns into a zombie and attacks a mail man who also becomes a zombie. The janitor zombie is run over by two guys in a truck and ends up in the truck bed.

Meanwhile seven kids leave for spring break--a couple separately and 5 together. Everyone ends up at some point at some gas station, including the janitor and later at a motel where they are attacked by these sex-crazed zombies.

In addressing the issue, what if zombies were into sex?, Night of Something Strange aims to be extreme, vulgar, gross, adolescent, obscene, nasty, etc. And it succeeds at that. Most horror, even, or especially R-rated, is sanitized to death and boredom. Then there are movies like this one, which relish in being graphic. In addition it's supposed to be a teen comedy so you have all bodily functions and all body parts involved. It's not particularly funny but it does rely heavily on outrageously gross situations the actors and actresses were willing to put themselves in. There are countless nods to horror movies as one can tell from the character names: Jason, Freddy, Christine, Carrie, but also to other great movies like Heat.

I appreciate graphics horror movies, not so much graphic comedies, but Night of Something Strange blends the two well to create surprises and shocking scenes at every turn. You'll be amazed by the stuff they come up with here. So it's an entertaining movie no doubt. And if it's true that the budget was as low as shown on IMDb, then the movie is quite an accomplishment. You can't help but like a movie that's so enthusiastically outrageous.

    It was strange alright...

It was the movie's cover/poster that initially caught my attention, and it looked very much like a 1980's horror movie. I read the synopsis and then decided to sit down and watch "Night of Something Strange".

And let me just be the first to say that "Night of Something Strange" turned out to be something rather different than what I had expected. So for better or worse? Well, honestly, it was for the latter.

The storyline in "Night of Something Strange" turned out to be rather ridiculous, and it was really difficult to get into the groove of the movie and get immersed into the storyline.

The acting in the movie was actually quite adequate, taking into consideration the budget of the movie and the type of movie that it is. So the acting talents actually did good jobs with the limitations imposed on them.

"Night of Something Strange" certainly had some fun enough moments, but they were outweighed by the inadequacies and lacks that the movie was weighed down by. As such, it wasn't a very memorable or enjoyable movie. And it was quite difficult to take anything in the movie serious.

The special effects in the movie were as to be expected from a movie of this caliber. So don't get your hopes up.

Normally I am a big zombie aficionado, but "Night of Something Strange" just was way too far out there, even for my liking.

My rating of "Night of Something Strange" lands on a less than mediocre 4 out of 10 stars.

This is the Sharknado of Zombie movies basically.

Ironically those who hate this, I bet loved. Sharknado. Don't listen to the 1-4 stars. I rate pretty hard but unbiased. For the $ they spent, it's worth a watch if you are waiting in line at the DMV. Might want to have ear buds in. Unless you want those in line to wonder why you're watching an STD Zombie raping girls or guys.

This is no Oscar award for acting. (Then who cares about the Oscars anymore really.) The movie doesn't take itself too seriously. I wouldn't say it has "Jump Scares" It's more a Gore fest.

This like The Sadness, is another Zombie movie inspired by the comic book: Crossed. If you only have time for one of the two, watch The Sadness. I'd rate this a four, but they did put in some effort, and at least brought some newish ideas to the Genre.

stupidity, gore, humour and dedication to the genre

Not knowing what to expect from this one I saw it was supposed to be a funny horror. Funny horrors mostly doesn't work out but there are exceptions like this one.

Let me be straight, this is a no-brainer. Just sit and enjoy. For some people this will be over the top because it's all about teens eager to have sex and terribly going wrong but you will see if you watching this flick. The flick starts immediately with pure horror and before you know it you are into a funny ride full of gore gore ,a bit of nudity and gore.

I can't spoil what is going on but it all starts with necrophilia. From there on the virus is on his way to conquer the world.

And just when you think that this flick is falling down on humour when a guy is having sex in the dark with his girlfriend, you're in for another ride of...well, just pick this up if you do like for example Tucker And Dale (2010) or the Ash vs Evil Dead series.

I enjoyed it a lot and had a smile throughout the whole flick.
