Masterpiece 5/5

Absolute masterpiece of an episode the way that they reveal stuff in this episode every single reveal has you wondering what comes next and how they were able to execute that reveal so well without giving you any details away for what comes next. And this is by far some of the best action in this entire series. I'll leave it at that.

John Cena has cemented his spot as the best wrestler turned actor

We've all known for a while that John Cena has the acting chops to go far but this episode...this episode erased that 5-10% of uncertainty that was still left. A truly visceral and unbelievably good performance, and it takes a special kind of actor to make you not look at their character as a character portrayed by them but instead just see the character and find yourself forgetting that that's John Cena, 17 time world champ and Make-A-Wish legend.

Cena, I see you.

Peacemaker is the best, most well-rounded anti-hero ever put on screen. John Cena's performance in this episode honestly blew me away. This episode is a bit of a heart wrencher and Cena delivers in spades. In that final scene, one filled with sorrow and regret, Cena absolutely nails it. His performance is what gives this scene weight. Giving you almost no choice but to feel empathy. It cuts right to the core of something every single person can feel or has felt, the sadness of loss.

John Cena at his acting peak

This episode is quite special because (based on my personal ignorance) it proved that John Cena is a great actor. He went from desperate tears to total despair in the blink of an eye. The story was slow-cooked so that even the most obvious surprises were spectacular. James Gunn definitely has an incredible talent, moments full of intense emotion.

what an episode, what a show

I knew when james gunn and company hid the synopsis' for the final 3 episodes that things were going to get intense, and after the crazy surprise of the last episode, it was no secret that the stakes were about to skyrocket. But even with that realization i didn't see things getting THIS good. Props to all the actors and stuntmen for these amazing action sequences and the stellar direction, but the writing only gets better with this show that's already been great. Obviously the DC universe is in great hands and has a very bright future, but this somehow rises my expectations even more.

Episodes are too Short

That's my only complaint right now with this season. These last few episodes have amazing content in them, I really wish they ran for another 15 minutes. I know they can fit some more really good stuff in there, even some dialogue scenes would suffice for me. This episode was both hilarious and heart wrenching, there is no way they can fumble the next episode. They've really held true to Chris's character since The Suicide Squad, unfortunately for him, he is very dumb and they nail that here. Reminded me of the one scene with Idris Elba that I won't spoil here, but you know it if you've seen it. I loved the undertones and messages conveyed throughout about our society, who we are, I will mention a slight spoiler when Chris says "What is wrong with us?!?!". In this context, I really felt that and I feel like that was also directed at the audience and society as a whole.

Just like the last episode, one of the strongest of the series, and 15 minutes would've added a lot.

Sooooo many things happened in this one!

So far, season 1 has been much better than season 2 in my opinion. But in this episode, all the pieces come together perfectly, no bad or dragging scenes, good action, good rhythm, etc. Very good emotion and how the episode ends, wow so many things. So yeah it feels good, I was waiting for this moment, a real very good episode in season 2. I'm looking forward to the final and with high expectations.

Too short , but still PEAK

The episode was good. I liked John Cena's acting and his character development - from a savage person to a rational one. Unfortunately, the episode was very short, and they could have added more things, like Nazi Superman or explored the Universe X arc a bit more, because it felt way too short.

Still, the episode was good.

Just gets better and better

Speechless, wow, unbelievable episode, for such a short episode it is amazing and definitely wasn't the episode most were expecting. John Cena's acting in THE SCENE (you'll know once you watch) is absolutely impeccable and wraps up the Earth X story in an amazing way, while leaving us in suspense for the finale, definitely will be interesting to see how it ends up.

absolute masterpiece

What an amazing episode! Everything is perfect: the interactions, the characters, the conflict, the beginning, the ending, the acting... It's ridiculous that a series no one asked for could be this ridiculously good!

John Cena's performance was insane; easily the best of his career. That climactic emotional breakdown of Chris was absolutely incredible.

The characters are amazing, seeing the birth of a new antagonist is incredible, the plot twists, the music... I can't explain how amazing this episode is.

DC is in incredibly capable hands.

Like a Keith in the Night

As "Peacemaker" enters its home stretch, the second season has proven to be a genuine rollercoaster-one that has largely met the expectations set by its acclaimed debut and by James Gunn's expanded creative role at DC Studios. Despite occasional missteps, the series has remained faithful to its irreverent yet emotionally grounded vision, charting a surprisingly affecting evolution for Chris. Following last week's major revelation, the penultimate episode not only sets the stage for a powerful finale but also deepens the show's emotional core, all while preserving its signature unpredictability.

The season as a whole has centered on Chris's emotional journey and his ongoing struggle to confront the deaths that have haunted him throughout the series. What was once imagined as a new beginning-a world offering redemption-has instead revealed itself to be darker and more punishing than ever. In this episode, Chris is forced to relive one of the most traumatic moments of his life. Yet rather than unfolding as a singularly emotional set piece, the moment is rendered amidst chaos-a deliberate disruption that suggests deeper meaning. The eruption of disorder interrupts clarity, symbolizing the unraveling of the fragile peace Chris believed he had attained. In doing so, the episode raises the haunting question of whether he truly deserves happiness at all. The narrative's moral complexity continues to deepen, as multiple characters reveal unexpected layers that blur the boundaries between loyalty and deceit. Viewers are left uncertain whom to trust-a dynamic that the season has cultivated with increasing precision. As always, the series delivers its trademark blend of high-octane action and psychological introspection, featuring cameos that serve narrative rather than nostalgic purposes. At its core, however, the episode belongs to John Cena. His raw, emotionally charged breakdown stands among his finest work, reaffirming how James Gunn has transformed Peacemaker from a figure of absurd violence into a vessel for genuine emotional evolution.

"Like a Keith in the Night" serves as a strong penultimate episode, effectively setting the stage for a finale that promises both shock and emotional resonance. The season's character complexity reaches new heights here, anchored by a commanding performance from John Cena, whose work has fundamentally deepened and transformed the series' central figure.

WOW WOW WOW

As almost all others have said a stellar amazing episode. Some great pulse pounding action, superb performances ( especially Cena ), wonderful direction, great music and songs and a hauntingly beautiful shot as the characters are running from the Nazi dimension to theirs with Eagly soaring overhead; all in beautiful slo-mo. My wife and I were literally talking just before we saw the episode about the three main wrestlers turned actors, Cena, Dave and Dwayne and who was a better actor ( though I think all three are good ) and I had told her it was Cena. This episode just proved me right. His performance in that scene that everybody knows by now almost brought me to tears. Patrick also gave a great performance and his soliloquy about what he stands for was outstanding. You could also see it in Cena's face that he wished this was the father he had. Finally that song and score near the end were spectacular. As others have also said; best episode of the series. Kudos.........

Best Episode of the Series

John Cena's Acting in this episode is proof that he's the best wrestler turned actor and that could potentially stay like that for a long while. Everyone did amazing, with the acting, the storytelling, hell even the humor in this episode. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, the twists and turns were even better than before, and the cliffhanger was the best one by far. I am so beyond excited for the next episode and see how it could potentially top this episode. Even though this was a very short episode, it felt perfectly paced and I was entertained throughout. 10/10.

Heartbreaks, twists and chaos. This episode broke me

Oh my god this episode just broke me. Everything happened so fast, I'm still reeling. How do you make someone cheer and then cry over the same death twice?! The twists hit like a gut punch and had me completely tangled in emotion. And the choreography? Absolutely insane.

This episode is wild, heartbreaking, and insanely good. I have no idea how episode 8 is going to top this.

Brace yourselves. This is setting up one hell of a villain for Superman, Man of Tomorrow.

Testament of Gunn's Vision for DC

This episode shows exactly what Gunn has always intended for DC. Showing character growth, true depth and nuance of emotions/intentions.

With stand out performances from John Cena, David Denman and Robert Patrick, it will leave audiences speechless as it plays out, as intentions are ever truly black & white.

A Disturbing propaganda

Peacemaker's attempt to equate Jesus Christ with Nazism is not just tasteless, it's deeply offensive. This repulsive propaganda undermines any redeeming qualities, blending crude humor with reckless insensitivity. The show's bold action and quirky charm are overshadowed by this grotesque misjudgment.

Wow

First of all, John Cena deserves an amazing amount of praise for his work on this show, with a scene near end of the episode standing out. He really shows his range.

Vigilantes 1 and 2 is hilarious and the action pretty awesome. This episode is a real showcase, equal parts hilarity and genuine heartbreak, although I'm very interested to see how it plays into this final episode.

Really good episode.

Emotionally hits

John Cena may have delivered the peak performance of his acting career. It was truly emotionally moving. Just like last season, this episode upheld the love Peacemaker receives from all viewers. Episode 6 takes the narrative to another level, balancing outrageous humor with deep emotional resonance. The writing allowed Cena to explore vulnerability without losing the rough, comedic edge that defines the character. Every supporting role-from Vigilante's awkward loyalty to Harcourt's quiet strength-felt essential and layered. The episode's pacing was sharp, blending explosive action with heartfelt reflection. By the end, audiences were left with both laughter and genuine emotional impact.
