Adolf Hitler: The Greatest Story Never Told

I have never seen such an amazing perspective to a documentary, about the 'Greatest Story Never Told'! It included rare historical footage, which is quite stunning. The content was extremely easy to understand and very informative. The footage is presented with a background Soundtrack that is not horrific or dark like every other documentary, but very calm and suitable, so that you find yourself in the past watching the history pass in front of you. The movie was separated in several chapters, which is helpful for the viewer to understand every single detail about the content. This documentary is not manipulating me to hate someone, who I never met in my life before. This is the main reason I liked this movie. I was able to see another human being in front of me. I can only thank for the eye opening experience that completely changed my view towards history and the world… I know now, that people need to learn their history themselves, and only themselves. You are free to search, so use this opportunity. We people are scared to search,or speak out the truth. It's simply 'forbidden'. It's the same thing as someone holding his hands in front of our eyes, and we are afraid to say something. Something is supposed to change in our minds...

Just watched the documentation and confirm in the most points/facts with the creator. He did a good work and I am sure he invested a lot of time. The documentation and many other information is still blocked or censored by German government and German law.

If you go to school in Germany and "learn" about history the WW2 is a big part, but it is shown in another way (the bad guy theory). So if you talk about this, everyone who did not research by his own has the same knowledge. I was looking for information about the (whole) truth since 10 years and started all discussions about the 3rd Reich with: I am sorry, but to understand my point of view and talk about it you have to invest hundreds of hours in German history research." Now I can say, watch the documentation and then we can talk about WW2.

In my opinion there is also some Nazi Propaganda and I can not believe the full 100% at all. But it takes you a big step nearby the truth and show both sides of the medalian of the political Leaders in WW2. No one is innocent of them and A.H. is not the pure devil he was stigmated from the allies.

I felt guilty buying this and almost fearful watching it as if doing something wrong. I feel sad at the story but more angry than anything at the guff we have been fed about this period of time, this country and this man. More than angry, disgusted. This sort of cover up of truth eventually comes out and turns people against the con artists. We should all be able to judge for ourselves. I feel a great weight has been lifted. So glad something ( maybe the increasing dishonesty of politics?) Drew me to idly wonder about this. I wonder what else is being spun and covered up? this documentary has plenty of footage, facts etc that were new to me although I have a major degree in history, including ww2. Did I just not dig deep enough? Were our approved texts biased? Did my lecturers steer us away from unapproved sources? We really can't move forward properly until we have our past truthfully viewed. All this talk of history from the bottom up should be applied here. In all, harrowing, hard but enlightening and ultimately, beneficial to know all this.

First, so many of these reviews are 10/10, it seems almost unbelievable. No, we are NOT Neo-nazis or Nazi sympathizers. No we are are not having all our friends stuff the ballot box to write these reviews. (Well, I can't speak for everyone - but I'm not part of either of those 2 mentioned groups).

Second, I almost feel bad clicking 'No' when asked "Does this review contain spoilers?". You bet there's spoilers - not within my review, but easily found within the undeniable FACTS and PROOF put forth in this very well made documentary. This film is NOT designed to make you feel the Germans were saints, not by any means - but it does explain some things that you've always wondered about learning in your History lessons (and why it's actually illegal to discuss many parts of the war in Europe). Did you know it's illegal to be a holocaust denier in many European countries - why would that be? Other than the fact that they don't have the 1st Amendment that Americans have enjoyed over the centuries (and we are - for some stupid reason - doing our best to make that illegal, should we somehow offend someone??)

Finally, if the Allies were the 'good-guys' then why were the USA and the USSR seconds away from nuking each other, during the Cuban missile crisis, just 20 years after being our best friends in WWII? And for many decades involved in the 'Cold War'.

We've all found certain 'facts' of WWII history which just doesn't make rational sense, but they must be facts, since they're in a textbook. Right?? Have an open mind, listen, as if you were a jury - weighing the facts of the case against the hearsay - I promise you... even the best historian will walk away with at least 1 new idea to either accept, or do further research on.

I think this documentary is very convincing. In the past, we all thought that the goal of Germany was to dominate the whole of Europe, but it was not. The reason for the outbreak of the war came from irreconcilable conflicts. In World War II, the most ambitious was Soviet Russia, not Germany. The United Kingdom lost the British Empire after the war because of its persistence in fighting. France thought that it could win against Germany, but it was destroyed in more than a month. Every country has war crimes, the indiscriminate bombing and slaughter of the German people by the Allies was never convicted as a war crime, but the defeated Germany is the only one to blame.
