Some people might say that its just 2d minecraft but if you put more than 30 minutes into it you can see all the content put into it. It has a lot of fun and challenging bosses and enemys. It has so many diverse and cool weapons and items. Building in Terraria is extremly underrated, it has so many blocks and everyday objects that you can build allmost anything you can Imagen. It has one minor issue and that enemy diversity but besides that I cant complain. Most games have the issue that after beating the final boss it just gets boring, but for Terraria that is not the case. After beating the Game you can still do so much more. For example you can get end game items, build, unlock npc's, make farms grind items and so much more. You will have To grind in Terraria but that is one of the Most fun parts grinding materials, ore and weapons is actualy fun. If you play the game you know why. So yeah I can only recommend.
The core premise of the game is something like 2d Minecraft but much more rich in weapons and bosses
But lacks some basic fundamental qualities which prevent it from being a great sandbox
And complicating some stuff so hard
But i really get ahead of myself so let's start from the begining
There's something big n'scary which called terrarias progression And I'll have to say it's quite brilliant you start from basically nothing Even let then nothing Cooper stuff And after that every bit of exploring fighting And... It's quite hard for me to say Fishing getting you closer to being a god
Well it's quite simplified so let's say it like that There's two factors of progression the world and your charecter Every time in the gameplay itll get stronger Whether by an upgrade like more life More mana better speed from some item
Or by accessories which gives special abilities and stats
And by weapons which are like weapons Different ways to punch an enemy
The different accessories armores and weapons are differing by class
Like i would say terrarias class system is quite varied and complex Almost every accessory item weapon ect And just to make it more friendly there's also sub classes Light combat Tank combat Range combat Yoyo combat
You got my point I would say it's cool the amount of classes And the amount of variations But also very complicated And you won't know what you ought to do just by your to upgrade and get the specific items Itd be literal hell to figure out all by yourself and take literally infinity (No jokin) Which is my big problem If you don't have a terraria boi as your friend Or the terraria wiki always on The game's hardly make sense And it could become really frustrating to always go on the wiki and stop everything Especially if it something basic like crafting
Second thing the game could get really grindy Like 2% chance drop from a hardly seen mob Like bro why
Specific items from bosses
Some crafting recipes
Third stuff I think there's a problem with the game physics you can swear you played an hour but somehow it turned 5
And these are some of my biggest problems with it The developers don't appreciate your time By making a game being so grindy
Yes. There are some more grinder games Which to be honest Makes me a bit sick And losing me some hope of the gaming industry
Now.... The second type of progression The world progression which made happen by defiting bosses
And just to say bout it It's wonderful there are so much creativity with the mobs Biomes bosses
And it all fits perfectly with your state in the game
Overall if you know what to do and keep precise about your class and the items of it you ought To expirment some of the best progression system ever known to man BUT if you don't know And don't plan anything out you ought to expirment some of the most frustrating And time consuming.

Terraria is a bastion of the indie action-adventure genre. It's simplistic 2D appearance masks the detailed expanse of endless content that has been tweaked and refined by its developers over years and years. There is so much to do even at the start of the game, and as you pick up momentum, like a snowball rolling down a hill, the potential of things to do just keeps on growing.
While being slightly challenging to keep up with the massive item pool, progression is made a lot smoother thanks to the fully complete wiki that you can always rely on. Each time you find a new item while exploring its unique biomes, dungeons, oceans, and cloud islands new possibilities are unlocked. Combat encounters never gets old with over 523 total critters and enemies. The cherry on top to that cake is over 30 iconic boss fights.
It is heavily recommended to play Terraria on PC or at least with a mouse and keyboard on consoles.

Anyone saying this is less than 10 do not understand how video games should be rated. You do not compare a 2D game to skyrim ffs. This game in it's own genre and general style is 10/10. Music is 10/10. Gameplay is 10/10. Craphics are beyond beautiful for a 2D game. Comparing it to minecraft is insane because the only thing they are exactly similar in is the fact that blocks can be placed and removed. Terraria was in the works at the same time as minecraft. So you do not get to say it is a copy either. Minecraft is a basically just a 2D pixel game in 3D first person if that makes sense so maybe that is why people keep comparing them the way they do but whatever.
I thought Terraria was just 2D Minecraft. I was WRONG. Within 5 minutes, a slime jumped on my head, a zombie kicked down my wooden door, and a disembodied eye came flying out of the night sky to beat me up like it owed me lunch money.
The game said, "Survive the night." I built a dirt box. The game said, "Good luck." A giant worm tunneled up from hell and said, "Nice house, shame if something happened to it."
Tried mining? Accidentally fell into a cave the size of Texas and got mobbed by skeletons with better gear than me. Tried fighting back? My sword is basically a butter knife.
The guide NPC just stands there smiling while I'm being murdered. He's definitely in on it.
Built a village for some NPCs, finally felt safe... until a blood moon started and zombies stormed the place like it was Black Friday at Walmart.
TL;DR: Terraria gave me trust issues, made me fear the moon, and taught me the ground is a lie. 10/10 would uninstall in terror again.
