This is one of the few times I write a review on here so let me start. This episode was and always will be beautifully epic. Everything about this episode felt so right for a show like Supernatural. The acting was on point, dialogue, action and even the side characters were great. In a way, this episode felt like a thank you note from the writers but more so, this episode reminds us all why we love it so much. Bringing back little things from the earlier seasons like the amunet necklace or the usage of the "Carry On My Wayward Son" song was beautiful. This episode also shows that the writers are self-aware of all the "ridiculousness" that they put into this show but more importantly, they address the fans of the show. Dean riding off into the sunset with his younger brother in the Impala, with the amunet hanging off the rear mirror... a beautiful episode and nothing short of perfect.

As a fan of Supernatural and a mother, I want to thank the writers, directors, cast, and everyone involved in the making of this episode. This episode has not only helped to bridge the generation gap between children and parents but it shows our children that their opinions and creativity (no matter how we feel about their ideas) matter. My teenage daughter and her friends, as well as myself, loved the episode. I loved seeing the reactions of Sam and Dean as they tried to understand what was going on. It is like a parent trying to understand their teenage daughter at the same time being supportive and proud even if they do not agree with their ideas. I enjoyed watching this episode with her and seeing her reaction to it. She thinks it was.... "a thing of beauty! #subtext" We will continue to watch Supernatural and look forward to many more of these special episodes.
Since S9 it has been rough, i haven't seen a 10/10 since S8, but this, this is beyond. I love this show so freaking much and what an amazing episode. The meta eps are the best and the in jokes.
Episodes like this just make you love Supernatural even more, fun to watch little bit drama, action, perspective. In just one episode to be able to show all this, it is amazing, and the end ... the end was just EPIC.I just can not believe it's been 10 years already and it just keeps going, better and better. I want this show to continue as long as possible, because it is a show of a generation, and most of all loyal fans. Things like that are hard to accomplish these days, but it seems that Eric Kripke knows what he is doing, so thank you for creating this show.
Well done, just well done !

So I stopped watching supernatural after season 5 because to me that was a fitting end for the series. But lately I've been trying to finish watching the rest of the seasons and this episode was by far the funniest episode I had ever seen. This is never leaving my DVR!

- TriviaThe girl playing Dean in the musical complains the reason she isn't wearing the "samulet" is that it keeps hitting her in the lips. Jensen Ackles hated the amulet because it constantly hit him in the face.
- GoofsIn the opening scene Marie refers to Sam and Dean as "the Winchesters". In season 4 episode 18 when Sam and Dean meet Edlund, Edlund says he never used their last name in the books.
However, Becky Rosen (from "The Real Ghostbusters" in season 5 and "Season Seven, Time for a Wedding!" in season 7 knew the brothers' last name and was known to post information about them on Supernatural fan websites using the screen name "beckywinchester176" (as stated by Charlie in the season 9 episode "Slumber Party." It is not inconceivable that Becky revealed Sam and Dean's last name in one of her posts.
- Quotes
Dean Winchester: [Pointing to the actors portraying Dean and Castiel] What are they doing?
Marie: Ummm. Kids these days call it hugging.
Dean Winchester: Is that in the show?
Marie: Oh. No. Siobhan and Kristen are a couple in real life. Although we do explore the nature of Destiel in act two.
Dean Winchester: Sorry. What?
Marie: Oh, it's just subtext. But... then again, you know, you can't spell subtext without... S-E-X.
[after that sinks in, Dean looks hard into the camera, breaking the fourth wall]
