    The Colonization Application

Two good episodes in a row - in the eighth series of 'The Big Bang Theory' that's almost unheard of.

While still not anywhere near the vintage years (which for me are probably 3-7), this is still a good episode.

I liked the Sheldon and Amy storyline and the one involving Penny and Leonard, though the chemistry between the leads carried it more than the script.

Emily remains an underdeveloped cutsie by borderline psycho character, but there was some fun to be found in the storyline in which she appears.

Overall, better than the series eight average, and that's pleasing to see. Here's hoping the form continues.

    Attack Turtle on Duty

Amy and Sheldon announce they are taking their relationship to the next level. They are going to buy a turtle. But complications set in. And then Sheldon announces that he has signed up to be in the first group of colonists to go to Mars, when that becomes possible. He does a video which is priceless. In less interesting stuff, Leonard buys a body paint set at the "dirty" store. Finally, Emily leaves Raj behind as she goes to the hospital, and while alone, snoops through her stuff and breaks a drawer. Very funny episode.

    • Trivia
Instead of Mr. Lorre's usual vanity card, the credits end with a tribute to Leonard Nimoy, who died on 27 February, 2015. The tribute reads:

"The impact you had on our show and on our lives is everlasting."
    • Goofs
When at the pet store, Sheldon calls the turtle using an Italian name "Giuseppe" pronouncing the last letter like the "I" in India. Giuseppe is to be pronounced with the last letter sounding like the "E" in elevator.
    • Quotes

Sheldon Cooper: I'm exceedingly smart. I graduated college at fourteen. While my brother was getting an STD, I was getting a Ph.D. Penicillin can't take this away.
