I agree with the reviewer who said that this movie hurts the conservative cause the more it tries to portray it in a favorable light. The beginning is promising with the congressional hearing, some strong lines. Then all goes wrong. Bad acting, the main character should have better read his lines or they could have used a text reading software with more expression of feeling. The girls who is supposed to be a "mad scientist" is a complete joke of a character. Sporting heavy guns and acting all tough. Who are you going to fool? Maybe a bunch of pansy feminists in Hollywood. The dialogue is cheesy, the "resistance" is ridiculous. The motivation of the characters hard to grasp.
There is one chilling conversation however which might make it worth watching the flick.
The globalist elite guy talks to his wife and notes that they want only 500 million population on earth because the rest of the people have lives "not worth living."
Could have been a good movie if the kept the pace with which they started. But that was not to be. Try harder next time.

This movie is an tragedy and insult to all people with common logic and knowledge . Once again the US and their " freedom " is under attack and the bunch of "patriots " are saving America. I don't have problems with B movies but this one ., this story is so , so stupid that I had to comment on it . Even the birds on the tree knows who is the biggest imperialist country in the world but somehow in the movies they are always the victim and the enemy this time are the United Nations ( biggest sponsor of the UN is US , basically UN is in the pocket of US ) This movie could only be good for somebody from the US ., probably only from Texas and other rednecks parts of the US . Just unbelievable ., just trash of the story :)
I will contend the acting was not great. I read some reviews saying how impossible the content was.
Of course those reviews were by people who actually believe the government has the citizen's best interest in mind.
The truth is, an EMP is possible. Our national grid has weaknesses just as our internet does. Russian hackers already tapped in to fuel delivery and food distribution facilities.
Before you scoff at the premise of this movie, do some research. This is entirely possible.

I have to be honest, I haven't seen this one but then again I don't need to. I'm willing to bet the film makers probably haven't been to film school and the intended audience wouldn't know reality if came by waving the rebel flag. This type of film, from the few reviews, does not have to be watched to be judged. I, magically (for those confused patriots out there), can divine that it is banal sponsored-by-conservative-dolts-with-money tripe. Like the Jesus walking with dinosaurs flicks. I don't have to be hit in the head with this message (like the target audience) to understand how poor it is. This has been a lesson in the process of reasoning based on available evidence. Save your ticket money for a bullet-proof vest.
This film is short and clearly it's budget was constricted, but I appreciate the intent - few who are at polar opposites to Al Gore and the likes of the Clooney's or Kate Beckinsale ever get a chance to drive what's on the Big Screen. One could say this film is a sort of "opera", it's far easier to connect with when you already know what to expect - and in that sense Heavin and Norris actually score "OK" by my reckoning - this is a synthesis of many books that inform and alarm (One Second After, the Patriots and Survivors series, etc.) Will the people who shied away from 13 Hours come to watch this movie, of course not ! The Dog Whistles that also drove the mainstream of Hollywood to disdain the 300 movie for its values are certainly working overtime against AmeriGeddon.
On the plus side, it's shorter than the re-make of Red Dawn.
I would get the US troops helmets, and remember that "the brig" is a term of the Navy and Marines.
IMHO the title is terrible ... and yes the climax is like an episode of the A-Team. On the other hand this could be a good double-feature with Invasion USA ...
