Honestly, I could not imagine this being shown to a larger audience. That was how bad this horror/thriller film is. I have no problem with small-budget and independent movies with limited resources, but this one was so not well-made and not well-thought of. The plot and the story were sloppy and so weak that I bet the director just finished making it for the sake of it. The characters were not interesting enough and the performances were awful and underacted. Whoever were behind this movie have a lot to learn about filmmaking. I also could not understand the run of the story. It was confusing and a waste of time.
Right off the bat, this is a low budget film probably by some new unknown writer, director, etc... However, that being said I thought the production value was really good for such a low budget film. The filmatography is perhaps the best highlight of this film and props to the camera director, camera man, and the overall film editing.
However, the audio of the film is what gave it away. Some part has no music at all when it needs it and while other parts have music, such as the chase scene, the music was too quiet or not mixed correctly with the speech audio.
Either way, they were minor issues and overall production value was great. The other thing is the acting, which was surprisingly good for this level of budget. I thought the actors, especially the minor actors, were excellent. They were convincing and fit into the film well, didn't look like people who were reading a script.
Now, you are wondering why the 3 out of 10 then? It is the Script. It started out great, a mystery and it grows. But like most indy scripts, it ran out of ideas and tries to be too flashy. I mean, without giving spoilers, let's just say there are multiple twists and stack on each other. It may seem good on paper, but it makes the story convoluted.
So what started out as a great film in a positive direction ended up a total confusing mess. The ending was just terrible and made no sense at all.
3/10.

I knew by the title it was going to be a B movie so I started watching with no expectations. However early on 2 children come out of the forest, Bakari Blocton and another boy. Their acting was natural as is true for most kids. That was the last time there was any acting in the film.
The plot was OK, female driver not what she seems, picks up male drifter also not what he seems and they have adventures. The story is an old one and nothing wrong with it, but the screenplay is shall we say...lacking? The dialogue seems to have been written by some 5 year olds and the acting is exactly what you'd expect from a B-C movie. There's not too much blood and gore but the action scenes might make you chuckle.
The props are poor, sets are poor, cinematography is poor and direction is poor. However if you love a good bad movie, and are in it for the laughs, it's not a bad watch, I've seen better but I've seen a lot worse too.
I was going to give it a 1 but I made it too just because Caitlin Carmichael looks like heaven in her jeans...

This cinematic masterpiece was clearly crafted by a visionary who simply couldn't be bothered with film school. The plot twists were so unexpected, they left me wondering if I accidentally stumbled into an abstract art exhibit. The acting? Let's just say they delivered their lines with all the passion of a room temperature napkin.
Truly, cinema has peaked. Forget B-movies, this is a ZZZ-movie. I can only imagine the director, cackling maniacally as they unleashed this cinematic atrocity upon the world. But hey, at least it wasn't that long. A small consolation prize for the two hours of my life I'll never get back.

When I first saw the hitchhiker at the beginning of the movie I thought, 'oh, cool. Dave Grohl is taking some time away from Foo Fighters and branching out into acting. I wish it had been the rock band's frontman. He could've been the secret axe murderer who is found out near the end is killing everyone with an electric guitar. The actor that actually played the drifter was a yawn at best. One dimensional. His character needed layers and wasn't given any. Not much onion to peel back.
Carmichael played the lead character and was able to give the role some texture. Once you get past the notion that this movie isn't a low budget T&A horror flick (no money in the budget for T&A), you then immerse yourself into what Carmichael's character is undertaking in her current adventure.
It didn't seem as if the LEOs (law enforcement officers) knew any cop procedures. I've watched countless hours of cop video on YouTube and these "TV" cops didn't seem realistic. I've watched perps fight with cops as handcuffs are being put on them. Sometimes it takes three or more cops to get cuffs on the criminal, even females.
Finally, I want to say the waitress gives the most authentic scream I've heard in a long time in a horror/thriller flick. Kudos to her.
