Dean Martin Celebrity Roast: Valerie Harper (1975)

Valerie Harper is the one being roasted as Dean Martin hosts another very good episode in the series. Jack Albertson, Milton Berle, Foster Brooks, Red Buttons, Phyllis Diller, Georgia Engel, Eva Gabor, Rich Little, Nipsey Russell, Isabel Sanford and Shelley Winters are just a few of the famous faces doing the insults and jokes. There are a few less-than-funny sequences scattered throughout this episode but there are still enough funny moments to make it worth watching. It's Jack Carter who steals the show with some hilarious moments and in fact he appears to be doing a Don Rickles like job because he really goes after a couple of the guests including Winters. As usual, all of this was done in good fun and there are certainly some nice laughs that make it worth watching.
