I can't believe people are acting as if this movie is intended to be a cinematic masterpiece. It isn't. It's meant to be a bit of fun and that's exactly what it is.
I've seen Nathan Hill interviewed by YouTuber Jay Harabgue who slates this movie (and all his others) right in front of him. Nathan Hill laughs along and joins in with the jokes. There is no way this movies is meant to be any more than a feature length joke. Look at some of the actors in it. My gran could do better. As if the producers weren't fully aware of what they are producing.
It seems like people have either completely missed the mark or there's some sort of petty agenda.

The film is an entertaining action thriller, straightforward in its plot and engaging with its mix of drama, action, and sexual tension. The casting, especially of the female characters, is praised for adding to the film's appeal.
It has been described as an "entertaining little action thriller" that's easy to watch, with a plot simple enough to follow without needing twists. Lucky Joe's character is highlighted as a determined individual, unwavering in his quest for revenge.
Overall, it seems that "Revenge of the Gweilo" is a movie that might appeal to a specific audience, particularly those who enjoy indie films with a mix of action and unintentional comedy. It's a film that can be enjoyed for its quirks and flaws, making it a unique viewing experience, albeit not necessarily for its cinematic excellence.

After his wife is murdered, a ex-cop must face the Asian mafia is seek his revenge.
Paying loving tribute to 70s, 80s and 90s kung-fu movies, even opening the film paying homeage to 'Bruce Lee: His Last Days', 'Revenge of tne Gwelio' is everything fans of the genre could want.
With nods to movies such as 'Kill Bill', 'Showdown in Little Tokyo', the filmography of Van Damme and even to the Capcom classic 'Street Fighter 2', 'Revenge of the Gwelio' is a fun action film made by someone with a true love and knowledge for the genre.
Watch Tritia DeViSha live her best villain life and even see a cameo from legendary Australian actor, Andy McPhee.
Have fun with this and always remember cool guys don't look at explosions...

You wont want to miss this fast paced action filled movie. Very entertaining. Great story, and the acting is great. I loved the setting, and the music score was icing on the cake.
Beautiful Asian women, and great travelogue style scenery. But this low budget film has long sequences of driving, sitting, etc.; to fill up an hour and a half. It has lots of martial arts; but the scenes looked like white belts learning moves. Maybe worth watching, I guess; but don't expect much. Seen on Tubi, the free streaming site; which now has live TV.
