The play off between the veteran and rookie in terms of attitude and experience is excellently played out. It's a wild ride in some parts. Even if you're not a fan of cop dramas like me you should enjoy this film. It's not what I'd normally watch but it looked appealing and it turns out I was right to choose it. I wonder if they will have a sequel to it. Crown Vic day 2. Just supposing. Worth checking out this movie. It's very serious stuff and makes you think. It's also not over done and preachy. It's very good.
But still extremely good enough. its the lapd squad car on patrol again, weve seen them before, and more will come.
its the training day for the rookie rookie, and papa copper tells you what to do, what to say, what to shut up about, and how to do things best to ensure your own safety, so that you might have a long life unharmed in the force, so remember to look at his hands whatever you do....
its a lot of carriding, with some snack here and there, and if you know the police code youll be far better into the story. the acting are good, the sound effects sit in the guts, the mental state of a copper are well described, and near the end your just pinned to the chair to what happens next.
i usually dont like films like this, i like better the opposite part, heists and robberies and such stuff, but the grumpy old man had a nice ride in the dark l.a. streets, and will therefore recommend you to too.

Well done cop movie which I manage to watch with fingers crossed until the end.
Good actors and apart from few prolonged scenes which don't bring much value it's a summary of most likely underpaid professional work.
I don't know why there are low reviews on this movie. I know it's not training day caliber but damn it's the best cop movie I've seen in years I loved it ! I highly recommend this movie really really good watch!!
I wasn't expecting much after seeing the trailer for this b-grade film, but surprisingly ended up really enjoying it.
Newbie writer and director Joel Souza presented one typical L.A. night shift in a cruiser, and pulled it off quite well. There was a constant cloud of suspense in the way it was written and directed. It felt very real and intense. The cinematography was great, and the score on point. The 110 runtime was a little too long and either should've shaved off 10-15 mins, and/or the pacing picked up a little.
Nevertheless, mad props to Joel Souza for creating this little low-budget b-grade gem. A definite recommend, and a well deserving 8/10 from me.

- TriviaOutside of the U.S., where the Crown Vic vehicle is prominently produced and used by law enforcement, the producers behind the film decided to give the film different names in foreign countries who would be unaware of the title's meaning. Therefore in Australia, the film is titled "Protect and Serve", in Germany the film is called "In A Web of Violence" and in the UK the film is called "Bulletproof".
- GoofsOur protagonists call sign is 20-L-14. A basic patrol car with an "Lincoln" designation is a one-officer car. The correct call sign should be 20-A-14. An Adam designation is a two-officer car.
