Kevin adds no value to the show. His participation is suited for a kids show, from cookies to rubber stamps he is lowering the bar. Think about it !!!!!
Kevin eating green gummy soldiers and screwing around in the shop was a bit over the top. Too much drama and not enough about the work, would like to see it go back to the earlier seasons.
As an automotive professional in the real world, it's really easy to identify who's the real deal on these car shows and who isn't. Unfortunately, a lot of these shows are all scripted with gimmicks and it gets old real fast. But this particular business and show is legit. By far some of the most talented fabricators out there. They're entertaining and do amazing work, but lately they seem to be spending more time on "entertaining" and a little less time showing the actual work they're performing on the cars. Overall, it's one of the better and most realist car shows on TV right now.
This shop has some of the best talent in the industry that I've seen. They do amazing work. Stick with that; don't need stamps, cookies, donuts, Kevin's stick drawings, etc. More Will.
As it is, I don't as much watch this show as I endure it. Dave and the shop crew are very talented and likable people... but Kevin Schiele is one of the most annoying and imbecilic individuals in the TV universe. He serves absolutely no purpose in enhancing the production of this show. His so-called humor is completely lame and, at times, offensive... e.g. "This Cadillac has so many parts on it that it might has well have been designed by a German." {S2 E11 "Copper, Copper, Copper"}. I suspect that Kevin thinks that he's another "Chumlee" (from "Pawn Stars"). While it's true that "Chumlee" acts the part of a braggadocios nitwit, the difference between him and Schiele is that "Chumlee" is naturally funny and, above all, doesn't actually take himself all that seriously... in other words, his obnoxiousness is just an act. The same, unfortunately for us viewers, cannot be said about "Kevdogg"! (In closing, let me paraphrase Abraham Lincoln: One "G" is good enough for God, but apparently not for kevdoGG! I gave the show 5 stars... lose Kevin and I'd give it 9 or 10!
