Best episode I have watched yet! Chapter Seven: "The Bathtub" - Stranger Things - Grade A

From what I have seen thus far, regarding the phenomenon Stranger Things, I arrive on Chapter Seven - The Bathtub. Needless to say, this is by far my favourite episode yet! The pacing, suspense, build up, acting and writing of this episode- they're all fantastic, it's incredible... to me, it is very intriguing and it keeps you right at the edge of your seat. El's abilities are so cool, especially for a completely non-superhero based show. I was completely evoked as I watched this episode, and it just gets better and better as it goes on. This is the kind of episode that will ultimately keep me hooked and watching all the way until Season Three's finale... Regardless whether or not it declines in quality. The junkyard parts are even very well-written, and it's almost like an episode version of Stand By Me, haha. It's just really cool, and I love the fact that more things are becoming known as it goes on. I didn't expect to enjoy this series as much as I am currently, it isn't anywhere near the best, but I do enjoy it. It's so well-balanced and consistent and fun while dark, dramatic, ominous and mysterious all the same. You learn more as it progresses, and certainly have a good time in doing so. Props to this episode, a definite 10/10 for me. I won't say more than this, just make sure you give it a watch!

    Everything Is in Place

This episode has everything. The two forces at work are facing off. All significant parties are now in play. The boys are fugitives, but fugitives, not from the government or law enforcement, but people who are posing as such. They have one intent; they want to kill the boys and take back Eleven. The Chief is fully involved and has some ideas, but most of what is going to happen will probably depend on Nancy and Jonathan. Steve has had an epiphany and made a turn in his life. The Tub is the means to get Will back, using a sensory deprivation tank. People are now heading toward the center and Episode Eight should answer things. I hope this is the case because I see that a second season is in the works. Please don't cheat us. By the way, I see this episode is rated a nine or higher. Could someone else beside the people who are writing talk about something other than how slow this is. It's the typical commentary with anything that requires a little patience.

I enjoyed watching this, really do

This episode is soo good. thrilling & well-writting. All the mystery are revealing. You know it shouldn't end like this. This should be 2 hours episode. but it can't. so it has to end like this.

    Chess pieces assembled

Found the previous six episodes of the first season of 'Stranger Things' of extremely high quality, with the weakest episodes (the second and sixth chapters still being good) and chapters 3 and 4 being especially brilliant. It is hard to not expect a lot from any penultimate episode for a season for any show, especially with the standard of what came before being so high. Season 1 could not have been a more promising start for 'Stranger Things', which at its best turned out to be one of the surprising winners on Netflix.

One of the best episodes of Season 1, and perhaps even of 'Stranger Things', is this one, "Chapter Seven: The Bathtub". The show started off beautifully setting things up and "Chapter 3: Holly Jolly" and "Chapter Four: The Body" did equally beautifully at starting to putting the introduced chess pieces into place and expanding upon what was seen before. "Chapter Seven: The Bathtub" sees these pieces put into place and couldn't have been done so more wonderfully.

"Chapter Seven: The Bathtub" is a winner in every area and at its best it's quite masterful. The production values are superb. Very stylish and atmospheric, with some truly beautiful images that one can't believe such high quality comes from a Netflix show. Not to mention the highly impressive special effects that put a good deal of big budget films in recent years to shame. The music has a wonderful 80s nostalgic vibe while also being quite haunting, enhancing the atmosphere beautifully.

Writing is thought-probing and has a lot of brains and heart. The humour is gentle but very subtly witty and funny, while there is non-over sentimental poignancy and suspenseful tension. The story always intrigues, is never too obvious, is tightly paced while still having breathing space and has a great tense and nostalgic atmosphere. The season has not lost its suspense yet and its nostalgic element is done affectionately and reminds one of Stephen King's childhood friendship depictions in 'Stand By Me' and 'IT'.

The characters have not lost what made them interesting and are actually more so from how much they've grown, Eleven is especially well written. All the acting is dead on, Millie Bobby Brown's is beyond her years and she has great chemistry with the other child actors.

    In summary, masterful. 10/10.

The movie that Mr. Clark (Randy Havens) and a lady friend are watching is John Carpenter's The Thing (1982), which contains a monster whose head opens up like the petals of a flower, much like the Demogorgon.

Actual de-icing salt is not cooking salt. It is raw and unprocessed, containing a significant portion of dirt and even gravel. It would yield a muddy, brownish solution and be rather disgusting for a person to immerse themselves in.

      Mr. Clarke: Hello?

Dustin Henderson: Mr Clarke, it's Dustin.

Mr. Clarke: Dustin? Is everything okay?

      Dustin Henderson: Ye-yeah, I just, I, I have a... science question.

Mr. Clarke: It's ten o'clock on Saturday. Why don't we pick this up on...

Dustin Henderson: Do you know anything about sensory deprivation tanks? Specifically how to build one?

Mr. Clarke: Sensory deprivation...? Wh-what is this for?

      Dustin Henderson: Fun.

Mr. Clarke: Okay. Well. Why don't we talk about it Monday, after school. Okay?...

Dustin Henderson: You always say we should never stop being curious, to always open any curiosity door we find.

      Mr. Clarke: Dustin...

Dustin Henderson: Why are you keeping this curiosity door locked?
