A mildly interesting silly actor filled fake Contest show featuring the wonderful Soska Sisters.
At first it seems like a legitimate horror filled contest show. But in reality, it just ends up being actor-and-prop filled nonsense that leave the viewer barely intrigued.
This series could have been genuinely noteworthy had they actually tried and filled it with real contestants. With real challenges, not gimmicky laughable ones.
At points that you think the "contestant" is going to lose, they basically hand a tip aka free pass to the the team. Then remark "Oh man how could you ever win! WE'LL GET IN YOU IN THE LEBRYIFF!"
Except they don't.
All in all. Watch if extremely bored with nothing to do.

First, I am an identical twin, these two are fraternal if anything.
So watching 3 episodes is it actors just coming in with fake money incentives with past people being the subplot?
Kind of like the Saw franchise but like another poster put well it is just like another poster put it it is just like filming actors going through a haunted house.
Did it get renewed? Doesn't look like it. I have to fill out the min. For lines but am struggling to do so without spoilers. The black woman and her screaming was overacting to a level I can't deal with. I get the history which is the main part I feel interested in in this series.
Just give it a higher budget and movie like quality and more realism.

I'm sorry...but...no...just no. I didn't enjoy this show at all. While the premise of the game show sounds interesting, the execution sorely lacks. I found the contestants annoying, the tasks lackluster and was mostly bored. The sisters hosting/running the thing come off as dull. That's a shame, because they look like they could've been way more interesting. I wasn't expecting too much from this show, but didn't know I'd find it so boring.
It is SUPPOSED to be cheesy... how can you critically review this, seriously... it is fun and kills time. That is what it is for. I wonder how all of you naysayers would act in that situation.... blah blah?? Sure you would. Take a break, it's a laugh show. The hosts are cute and their comments are not to be taken seriously like some of our critics are doing. The challenges are interesting and original. The only thing I wondered is how these contestants can take the thing seriously when they know it is fake and just a lark. Some of them act really scared and I think it might be a bit made up, perhaps scripted. In any event, I found it fun.
Just in time for Halloween comes this new game show from GSN. A team of three contestants confronts its fears and tries to accomplish tasks for money. As they cope with creepy sounds, unexpected scares, darkness and the usual horror tropes, the contestants are taken to different floors of an industrial building where they must--one at a time--complete timed missions for cash rewards.
The challenges are legitimate puzzles and they cleverly relate to the theme of the particular episode. Those who fail are eliminated. The team members who complete their tasks advance to the final round--the Labyrinth--where they can gather more cash.
Watching others negotiate the haunted house-like set does not have the immediacy of walking through a haunted house yourself. And since you have no control over the contestants, the viewer is not as invested as when playing a video game in the horror genre. It is more like watching a horror film.
The two hosts, dubbed the "Twisted Twins", goad the contestants throughout the show, trying to play on their fears. Unfortunately, they sound like Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie, so some viewers will probably find them superfluous or annoying.
Some who enjoy game shows may enjoy "Hellevator" (the money winnings available are significant), but it seems best suited to those who like the horror genre. Personally, I am not a devotee. This show is probably best watched at night in a darkened room.
