Avoid the naysayers on the reviews. Enjoy it for what it is. Fun, realistic and an easy to watch interaction of a widower, a nanny and two kids who missed their deceased mom.

I enjoyed this movie immensely. The actors, the writing- all of it was very real, charming and heartwarming. It's my favorite Halloween movie. Sam Jaeger is awesome as a kind gentle father. Ashley Williams so cheery .The actors playing the children are too. Bravo!

Another enjoyable Hallmark Movie.
I've enjoyed Ashley Williams in others movies and she does it again in this movie. The chemistry between Ahsley and Sam's characters works.

Hallmark movies typically try for heart-warming, and this one succeeds better than most. The characters are all likeable, even the "miss wrong" love interest. It's a simple story about a family recreating itself after a loss. Everyone takes it slow and gradually realizes that they belong together. It's more challenging to do in the real world, of course, but this is how we want it to be. I believed in their happy ending, and that's a hallmark success. All the actors are good, including the children, but Ashley Wagner steals the show with her portrayal of Poppy, the nanny with a heart of gold.
It's also worth noting that the Halloween decorations and costumes are really well done. I have fond memories of going trick-or-treating as a kid. We didn't have such elaborate costumes, but I remember there was plenty of candy to go around, and people sometimes made their own. So, enjoy the nostalgia and good feelings.
