I only really finished it as I hate dropping a show half way through. In a way I wish I had as season 4 was poor and season 5 I was relieved to finish. No spoilers, but it started off very promisingly but the writers seemed to run out of material.
The main situation gives a lot of opportunity to show the possible dynamics of polyamory, but it does nothing with the opportunities. All the main and most of the support characters are shallow, childish and so naive. This is the main source of the conflicts, but no worries everything can be solved with a fair amount of weed, alcohol and sex. I can't say that the characters are not lovable, and it is clearly that the attractiveness took a great part of casting, but the characters motivations and problem solving capabilities are so simple that it hurts the brain.
I was worried that this was going to either be sleazy or boring when I saw the ad. However I was pleasantly surprised when I watched the first episode. It was funny and charming. I was hooked. As I further watched the episodes it would get slow at times in telling the stories, but remained funny and I never lost my concern for the characters. I am looking forward to the next season and see where the story leads. The other characters really help the characters as well, filling the story nicely. I only rated this an 8 because sometimes the story would move slower than it needed to. I imagine that's because they had to fill time. I hope this is not an issue in the upcoming seasons.
This is a heavily underrated show. it is sweet romantic and light hearted comedy which is simple and different as it deals with you know "throuple". it deals with challenges in polyamory in a subtle and funny way. best thing about this show is this is not dark like other shows which deals with extra marital affairs. it takes on the subject sensitively and humorously. it is little realistic and little cinematic .Priscilla Faia stands out. she is adorable and sexy who can emote well. all the characters are likable and played well.
if you are looking for entertainment this one is for you. episodes are short 30 mins wished they were longer as this show breezes through time. kept me hooked from start.
wish this show continues for more seasons.
This is a great show that has wonderful writing and great character development, including the characters that are not at the forefront of the show. All of the actors do a great job with the material and are extremely likable (or unlikable as it may be called for.) I am very hopeful that Audience (& AT&T) chooses to continue to produce such fresh content. They've taken something that could be construed as very abnormal and have boiled it down to a narrative that almost everyone can relate to. Complacency, guilt, desire, love, commitment, feeling lost, evaluation of your life - all these things in this package. If you aren't watching, you should.
