          An absolutely brilliant episode

What has always made South Park seem unique to me is the apparent fearlessness of its creators in portraying social and political topics from controversial perspectives. It is surprising to me how often they purposefully deviate from accepted narratives: Whether something is deemed shameful or honorable by society, South Park will often show the opposite side of the coin. South Park has been particularly diligent in this pattern in the 19th season. It's hard to describe why it is so brilliant without talking about the relevant problems with modern American culture... Suffice it to say that the 19th season is an ingenious expose of the incredible narcissism that makes well-meaning people so easy to manipulate.

Episode 8 is amazing in its commitment to truthful portrayal of the ills of PC progressivism, addressing its ironic intolerance, its origins in normative social influence, and its effects on mass media, while also managing to squeeze in some compelling science fiction plot points. I have not watched the rest of the season yet. I am writing this because episode 8 was such an amazing climax of insight that I was utterly blown away. This episode reconfirms for me that South Park is not just a comedy show, but is one the few remaining outlets for honest and serious social critique. I hope that the show continues to reach new heights with the following episodes.

          Mind blown!

One of the best episodes ever! South Park did it once more!

Very good, a natural progression in complexity of an excellent show

I'm glad to see such a high rating for this episode (amongst people whinging about this season). It's a well written episode, has a clear storyline, and gives a spotlight to a few more minor characters, which I don't think is such a bad thing.

Let's face it, South Park has always been hot on social commentary but this season they've decided to do something a little different - ie contained storyline spanning the season, and I think they pulled it off well.

The somewhat more 'serious' tone of the show is a natural progression really. The humour is becoming more witty and intelligent and is drawing more on observation/society. I can see why some people may not like it, and prefer talking poo and Cartman being Cartman, again, and again...

Personally, I pretty much grew up with South Park, and as an adult I am finding the clever, specific jabs a lot funnier and of course more relateable (eg PC, ads, pretentiousness, you name it). It's a different type of humour but I think it's a welcome change.

And the award for worst season of any show ever goes to....

OK so I am so glad that I took the time to read other reviews from this season to see that I am so not alone. Sure the lone review here at the moment is nothing but praise for this season, but to be honest I so do not see why.

What is with this whole season? Seriously.

(Cue 'too many minorities at my water park')

What has happened to this show? I don't get it any more. It used to make my laugh out loud and now it's just a bore. The season's dumb, we sit there stunned I'm aching inside and it's just so wrong____

What the heck has happened_____? To my TV show? This was our show, our time and now its a black hole. The episodes wont stop______ I hope and hope that it will change But even Trey and Matt___ continue to put crap___ in my TV show.

We're introduced to a dumb-ass Principal, who took the fun away There are stores we don't even care for, even Garrison's become a snore__! (and who knew that was possible?) It's 20 minutes of hell we can't stand each week and suddenly it's the end of the season that I seek___!

(Soy dudes en serio. Esta temporada chupa bolas .)- Just go back to what you normally do!

What the heck has happened_____? To my TV show? This was our show, our time and now its a black hole. The episodes wont stop______ I hope and hope that it will change But even Trey and Matt___ continue to put crap___ in my TV show.

PC Crap___(not to mention the Principal), Lazy Cartman___, and even some silly advertising stuff.

Matt and Trey please, give all of these great characters another chance.

          (end).
