Goofs
Detective Williams makes numerous operational and other errors: 1) He fails to carry an off-duty weapon or his police credentials. 2) In commandeering the bus, he exposed the state to liability by involving the citizens aboard in a police action. 3) He failed to simply back up the bus after it turned off the paved road. Unloading unarmed citizens made them easy picking as hostages for armed suspects. 4) He attempts to confront armed suspects using a citizen and a bow and arrow, again exposing a citizen to injury or death.
