I was watching the episode about the Nazi trains when it came to the section about the German invasion of Belgium. When the voice over said that Belgium was invaded in 1939, I realized how shoddy the documentary was. I have no time for inaccuracy in documentaries. This may seem petty but anybody with more than a passing knowledge of the war should know better than to say Belgium was invaded in 1939.
Was looking forward to this series, but let do from the start.
Why editors think everyone has a concentration span of a few seconds.
Nearly impossible to get ninto any of the photographs, because they were on the screen and then gone. It would have been interesting To see more real pictures of the Civil War,than flashing back, time and time again to modern day trains.
I can't believe professionals make films, like this, and wonder why we give bad reviews.
This could have been so interesting a subject, but I did.not go further than two episodes.
I have seen some real film of combat trains, and it was gripping.

A history of the use of trains in warfare.
A documentary series that seemed interesting but quickly failed to deliver. At eight episodes its too long and dry to be constantly engaging. Much of the content is filler, having a tangential bearing on the subject but not really necessary.
It's only useful if you have no knowledge of the events of the particular war and thus need a beginner's introduction to it, which, as a target audience, doesn't make sense. If you're trying to learn the basics of WW2, say, you don't watch a series on trains. The target audience is clearly people who already have a decent knowledge of the history of warfare and want to learn more about a particular aspect.
Less episodes and a focus on just the trains aspect would have made this more interesting.
Moreover, the series isn't even that accurate! For example, in the American Civil War episode Ulysses S Grant is called "Ulysses T Grant"! How could anyone with a knowledge of history get that wrong!
Very sloppy and shoddy. I'm surprised someone of the stature of Mark Felton would have anything to do with this.
