They were never together in the show before this episode and it's just insulting to me the viewer that they retconned the story so much upon Tony's exit from the show. It's lame.
Why is it that they can't just let Ziva be gone and move on. She decided to leave the show virtually on the day of shooting the season. They owe her nothing yet they insist on involving her in all sorts of nonsense.
I never really liked Ziva and I'm so sick of hearing about her and her idiot father. You would hope that this episode finally puts her to rest. But of course noooo, in the future she appears in some episodes but without Tony. So that makes no sense at all. It makes no sense because the entire Tony and Ziva storyline is retroactive continuity.

- TriviaZiva's Badge Issue Number is 867-5309, the same as Gibbs', as shown in other episodes. "867-5309/Jenny" is a song released by Tommy Tutone in 1981, which was the only hit of the artist, making him a "one-hit wonder".
- GoofsWhen the "Tribute to Our Fallen" display is shown, it includes Paula Cassidy, Simon Cade, Gayne Levin, Jenny Shepard, Tom Morrow, Caitlin Todd, Brent Langer and Ned Dorneget. Noticeably missing is Christopher Pacci who died in the line of duty in Dead Man Talking (2004).
- Quotes
[In the bag of Tali's stuff, Tony finds a photo of himself and Ziva in Paris]
Tali: [pointing to Ziva] Imma.
Anthony DiNozzo: Yeah, that's right, Tali.
Tali: Imma!
Anthony DiNozzo, Sr.: What does that mean, "imma"?
Anthony DiNozzo: It's Hebrew. It means "mother", "mom."
Anthony DiNozzo, Sr.: Oh.
Tali: [points to Tony in the picture] Abba.
Anthony DiNozzo: ...Tali, what did you say?
Tali: [points to Ziva] Imma.
[points to Tony]
Tali: Abba.
Anthony DiNozzo: Abba?
[Tali nods]
Anthony DiNozzo, Sr.: "Daddy."
Anthony DiNozzo: Ziva must've told her. She knows me.
