Uniformed soldiers climb the facing of a road above themselves -- you can see some well dressed people rolling by in, presumably, a carriage -- and then heading back down.
For the Lumieres, this is a fairly chaotic movie, with the individual soldiers' movement not adding up to a harmonious whole. I strongly suspect this uncredited movie was shot by an independent film maker and added to their catalogue; the Lumieres and their employees understood composition and movement far better than this.
