Entertaining Horror by the Sea
I was lucky enough to catch this film at its packed premiere screening at horror on sea in January 2020.
Making the most of the by the sea filming location, the film follows the inhabitants of Mellow Coast as they struggle with a killer.
A combination of great writing and retro VHS styling makes this an enjoyable watch.
Defiantly worth checking out!

I scream on the beach brilliantly entertaining
Very entertaining, the comedy aspect was great had audience laughing. All the actors were spot on so much talent. The horror element was also good and kept you guessing. Plenty of twists and turns in the plotline. Alex and Mik have done a great job and should be proud.
A stylish VHS inspired horror gem.
If you loved 1980s Horror movies then you will love this great indie film with many nods to the great VHS era of Horror. A stalk and slash feature set by the seaside. Some great visuals and great plot twists. Good fun overall.
Won me over
Found this on Tubi and went in cold. Seeing Lloyd Kaufman in credits was intriguing but the setting and seeming love interest kept my interest low at first.
Stayed at a neutral/lukewarm 5/10 for much of intro, but as the kills rack up and I plugged more into its humor I found myself "getting it" more s'pose
Knew we'd bumped up to 6 with a deep-body-poled kill on the beach, but had no idea where the finale would be going. Skcos Rellik...lmao
The very end/reveals arguably drove this to a surprise 7/10 for me. Obviously this is on something of a scale for low-budget (holiday horror) a la Troma style.
Never thought I'd end this both hyped for and likely willing to pay for a sequel but...Skcos Rellik! C'mon man! Let's Go Brandon!

A fun homage to the Slasher Movie Genre.
Visited the Horror-on-sea festival last weekend in Southend. They are always promoting independent horror films and especially ones that are made locally. Always have a great time and find a few gems and with this one you get You couldnt get more local as its been made and shot in the area!
I grew up loving the slasher movies of the 70s and 80s and although this has been made on a shoestring budget, i found it a clever throwback to that era. Even in the way its shot as if its on dodgy 35mm film (with lines/scratches across the screen at stages). It tells the story of a young girl Emily, who is looking to find out what happened to her father who worked in a factory on some type of experiment. However as she looks into this, her friends & contacts are one by one being disposed of in gruesome gory glory by a masked killer.
Dont go expecting a big budget horror film with loads of jump scares, but if you like corny acting, lots of in movie jokes and a gory whodunit. Look no further. The team have done a great job and i hope if gets the success it deserves. It certainly went down a treat with the local audience!
