Fearless

Fearless is a quality British mini-series, six episodes long that you will probably binge watch once you started. As a mystery/crime it works very well. Each episode ends with a cliffhanger so you can't wait to watch the next episode. It's the Helen McCrory show to be honest. She's the star of the show and her performance is phenomenal. It was nice to watch the late Helen McCrory again, an actress that will be missed and that deserved a higher recognition. The rest of the cast was good as well but it's Helen McCrory that steals the show. Always very elegant to watch and convincing in her acting. Glad I stumbled onto this mini-series.

I just saw only two episodes of it and i already started liking it. It started slowly with simple plot and makes you watch without a gap waiting for the next episode to air. It reminds me of True Detective but i sense more depth in it. I hope this continues in the next episodes without dragging too much. Script & screenplay is excellent.

So far amazing acting. Love UK crime series definitely make Hollywood a RATED B group of perfect looking people with oddly enough the same whitest and straight teeth whilst lacking any type of good character acting. Another great series headed by an actress in her prime! Way to go UK. US is so far behind in the leading roles for woman. Great characters, UK is so much better than US in allowing the character flaws assimilating into the actors strengths! Great job will continue to watch,

I am enjoying this,think I will stick with it. I was tempted not to watch it at all due to all the hype in the media about it. Of course I won't go into plot details but this is similar to things like SECRET STATE(TV),STATE OF AFFAIRS(TV) DEFENCE OF THE REALM(film),a sort of political conspiracy thriller. This has a good cast,including in a small part the beautiful Sammy Winward.

This is the sort of thing I like but it might not be for everyone,you need to pay attention to keep up with what is going on.

"Fearless" deserves far more recognition than its current rating suggests. The script is tight, the performances compelling, and the narrative multilayered. The first two episodes are a slow build, focusing on a 15-year-old murder case, but from the third episode onward, the tension skyrockets with gripping twists.

British crime dramas have a unique depth-avoiding Hollywood's obsession with glossy aesthetics and perfect-looking actors with eerily flawless teeth. Unlike American shows like The Blacklist or Designated Survivor, which rely on exaggerated action and larger-than-life heroes, Fearless remains grounded, reflecting the complexities of real-world justice. UK series excel in blending strong character arcs with an engaging, suspenseful pace, making them more authentic.

Interestingly, European cinema outside the UK takes a different route, often embracing darker, more introspective storytelling. Take Dark (Germany), Spiral (France), or Bordertown (Finland)-these series dive deep into raw human emotions, crime, and existential dilemmas. The UK strikes a balance: more realistic than Hollywood but not as bleak as some European noir.

Fearless is yet another testament to Britain's superior storytelling in crime dramas. Helen McCrory's brilliance might just challenge Olivia Colman's reign as the queen of UK television. A must-watch!"
