Gold is a very lame movie. At best it does not bring any feeling thing related to patriotism. So let me point out the cons: 1. The acting is very pedestrian. 2. The story line is bad. Actually there is no story, this represents a lame copy of chak de ! India. So why am i making this claim? Let me tell (Just a few out of the whole lot). So let me start with Tapan Das. The movie never gives any details on what is his capability? The only capability we see is that he is a drunkard. Even to an extent that he has to sell his wife's jeweler. Even in the beginning of movie he admits that he is a glorified coolie. Any little discouragement and he goes into drinking and smoking. Why in this world is the parsi gentleman having faith on him? At least the audience doesn't get any clue. And that too 2ce? Given me I won't give him a dime. So the only credibility that someone is a genius is to drink and smoke? This is lame. What is with the leg show from Tapan? Seriously. Is this a lame comedy attempt. By the way why mock Buddhist monks? Just uttering some ones name is not good enough to break their vow. Joking is good, but not on a national scale. Have some respect. In general there is no substance with the movie. Not worth spending a dime on this movie.

Average movie. Akshay kumar tries hard to act but he has his limitations. Distorted history and added too much drama. Second half is faster than first one. Very cheap attempt to make a movie hit (either target pakistan or british)

When we'd rise up from it and make another chak de india which has no cheap tactics or even stupid commercial elements to make it a hit. In the akshay kumar movies say bharat mata ki jay its enough for his fan story line acting you will seen the same in his all movies nothing is new. Its a 2 hours torture GOLD. Its a gold or TORTURE???

This movie has some over the top patriotic themes and not much script is dedicated to the game of hockey. Akshay Kumar's Bengali accent sucks. Few players in the team have significant roles. It's all about patriotism in this movie. The game of hockey, it's intricacies should have been given a chance...

Amateur script. Bad direction. Terrible acting. No attention to details. Costume designer hasn't done his homework. And out of nowhere a Bengali guy sings and dances to a Punjabi song..

GOLD is an agonizing experience in every category I can think of and others still waiting to be invented. Worst direction, worst screenplay, worst wirting or worst acting.... 0.5/5

I went in without even watching the trailer. The film is very predicatable and cliche. It felt like it was going on and on and on. I couldn't help but compare it with chak de India and found this one to be a huge disappointment. There was no excitement. I was glad when this got over. I don't know why people are giving it a 10 stars.

This is the worst copy of iconic Chak De India! Also Screenplay is very Week compared to Chak De India

GOLD movie is inspired by a true story but after watching this film I find more fictitious than truth. Tapan das character is really confusing. In the film, he is neither a Coach, nor a former hockey player or not anyone from the higher mgt then how a man can select players for the national team ?? What qualities does he have to become a selector? I couldn't digest his character at all. There is no comedy, no entertainment, no good song, nothing is there in the movie. Why people should spend their money and watch this film?? Except for the last 20 minutes, the movie is really a headache. Nothing is new in his movie. Everything you can seen on his previous movie so don't go for new. If you are akshay kumar's fan then you can go for the same concept.

Akshay kumar same acting same dialogue delivery and same concept of all time We are bored actually about akshay kumar's movies. In his each movie all the dialogues and story are same nothing is new here. Not good for watch Thums down 1* OUT OD 5*.

The movie suffers from incorrect historical representation, a lot of boilerplate scenes which add nothing to the storyline or the plot. So much drama which is very unreal and are not even gripping at all.

Better if this movie was not made than this gober.
