After taking most of the beating last season, our group took the initiative and went after the Saviors before it was the other way around. I have to admit, it wasn't the easiest to watch the gang brutally plow through dozens upon dozens of living people like that. I think it's too optimistic to think that they can just hold everyone captive and not have some casualties. But at the same time, I'm glad we saw Rick look at himself in the mirror and re-think things a bit. Seeing Morales definitely brought back some thoughts about how the past used to be. So not only is the "familiar face" he runs into Morales, but it's also his own face in that mirror. To me, that was an extremely powerful moment. It's those moments that always win me over.
If there are going to be big deaths this year, I think it's smart to bet on Morgan. This whole "I can't Die" storyline is bound to end up with a devastating end to the great run of Morgan on this show. However, it's interesting that he's done a complete 180 from where he was at this point last year. In fact, it was interesting just to see the idea of life and death become so prominent in tonight's episode. I can only assume that this is a theme that will run through the rest of the season.
So while there was a ton of action, not a lot of things happened of significance. It felt very much like the first part of a two-parter, and maybe this whole season will have that feeling. As we draw closer and closer to our group taking down Negan, which is absolutely inevitable.

I'm a big fan of GOT and was a big fan of Breaking Bad. Both series got better over time. Walking Dead has been treading water since Terminus. Each episode relies too heavily on its fan base, not creative writing, compelling performances or inspiring plots. The special effects have become comical. I now believe it is too late to throw WD a life saver. With the current writers and sub-par cast, it is time to say R.I.P. to what was once an exceptional series. Shame on Scott Gimble!
Honestly, it's a good episode. especially compared to the last season. Sure it's not one of the best episodes of the walking dead. But really this episode is just an average TWD episode.
Normally I don't post a review unless its something truly amazing or horrible
But this is just a normal episode.
I think most people who gave this episode bad reviews are just hating on it because they are mad about the show as a whole going down last season in quality but this episode kind of stood out from the few previous ones and could be a start back to its former glory
And When people see a couple of bad episodes in a row they just expect the next one to be bad too. So they only see the bad parts in an episode when it's released.
And I've seen reviews saying " Please fire the writers " and " these writers are terrible and stupid "
But end result. Just an average TWD episode if you compare it to any episode before season 7. but still the best episode since S7E01

- TriviaThis is the second (and final) time Hilltop scout Andy (Jeremy Palko) helped attack the satellite outpost for Rick (Andrew Lincoln). The first time was in Season 6. Andy drew a map of the compound for Rick and then joined the ambush.
- GoofsThere is a scene in the first 10 minutes where two guards standing in front of windows are shot in their heads. Blood spatters over the windows behind them, indicating that the bullets created an exit wound...but the windows are not broken.
- Quotes
Carol Peletier: Compound is not far off, if he made it, if they know we're coming, they're gonna be ready.
Ezekiel: Two Possibilities, just one fact.
Carol Peletier: And what is that!
Ezekiel: We shall be ready regardless.
Carol Peletier: What's about to happen, it's not just a few walkers, you know that right?
Ezekiel: Yes. And yet I smile.
Carol Peletier: Why?
Ezekiel: Do I feel the supreme Confidence or is my lot, my job to simply protect such certainty. No and yes. Yes and no. And then finally yes to both! Fake it till you make it, baby. That's what I've done and what I do, I am king because I have provided a light to lead my people forward through the darkness and they have made my fictions realities. So, with all this and everything that's happened...
Carol Peletier: All of us may not make it. We may not even win!
Ezekiel: And yet I smile. There will be no more fantasies of failure this day.
