This show has changed my life in so many ways. Back in 2016 after first watching this show I went to fight for the Houthi rebels because of it. Also yurio is the most beautiful man I have ever seen.
I loved this show. I binge watched it all the way through. I am not surprise that I loved it as much I did. I love figure skating as a sport and I love when shows include figure skating. Plus this was entertaining. Not one second was boring. I love every second of the show. If you don't like LGBT or gay people then this isn't the show for you becuse their is some LGBT and gay people in this story. I believe the director said that yuri and victor kiss (but I could be wrong). Even if she never confirmed it I believe it happened. I like all the competitions and practice that happened in this show. Yuri and victor have a great chemistry together. The relationships were all really good. There was lots of character development. The plot of the story was great. The script was really great. All of the romances and friendships were all super well done. I even like that yuri and yurio were like enemies in the show I even think it that was well done. It would be nice if after all that practice was done if yuri had won but I understand why yurio won instead of yuri. It made lots of sense. I loved all the scene were yuri and victor were there and when figure skating was being done. I even love when yuri remake one of victor famous skating routines and it accidentally being put on youtude in the show that was great. I couldn't choose my fav even if you asked they were all good. I feel like the show ended way too soon. 12 eps were not enough I wanted most of yuri and victor relationship to be honest. Also this will be a show that I keep coming back to watch. I think everyone even if you don't like sport anime's should watch this one.
Not only is the animation and story amazing, you can tell the animators put a lot of time in researching figure scaring and the payoff is a beautiful story that still makes me cry every time i watch it. One of those things you wish you could relive seeing again for the first time.
I just finished this anime and i absolutely loved it, it was extremely well done! I can't recommend it enough. The characters are absolutely adorable and the overall story is so wholesome and heartwarming!!!!!!! The relationship between Victor and Yuri is pure gold.
This was such a wonderful anime. Showing beautiful and realistic figure skating (all were choreographed by actual figure skaters), a wonderful original soundtrack and also managing to show a realistic queer relationship without it being the main story line makes this one of my absolute favourites. The story focuses on Yuri, a figure skater who has hit a low in his carrier. Whilst sulking back home his figure skating idol, Victor, turns up and offers to become his coach and help him win the Grand Prix Final (where he was previously disgraced). The relationship between Yuri and Victor is wonderfully built up and explained through out the story and you're also introduced to many other memorable characters, each with distinctive traits and styles of skating or influence. The story follows Yuri's progress and interactions with the other skaters ending in the Grand Prix Final. Nail biting to the end and wonderfully written, I thoroughly enjoyed this an would recommend to anyone who likes adorable beautiful stories.
