Nice movie from Sivakarthikeyan and keerthy ...Love and Romance at high peak.
This is a good entertainer if u are not keeping any big expectations. Don't keep or think of any logic, just watch it and you will love it.A good romantic comedy entertainer. Movie stays colorful from start to end.Well U have to adjust a little bit to digest the story.Music is fine.Comedy is average(Better than most movies). If u want to have some time pass by relaxing your mind then this movie is a right choice.Well watch and have fun.In my case,I enjoyed this a lot.So I will give an 8 out of 10.Just keep out your logic and please don't compare, then u ll love this movie.Hope this review is helpful.Watch and enjoy people, another entertainer from sivakarthikeyan after VVS.
I recently watched Remo (2016), and it was a refreshing romantic entertainer that stood out for its unusual concept and colorful presentation. Directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan, the movie blends comedy, romance, and drama in a lighthearted way, though with a few clichés along the journey.
The story follows SK (Sivakarthikeyan), an aspiring actor who falls for a beautiful doctor, Kavya (Keerthy Suresh). However, to win her attention, he disguises himself as a female nurse - "Remo." This gender-bending role becomes the highlight of the film, as Sivakarthikeyan's transformation is both convincing and entertaining. His comic timing and charm hold the film together, making it easy to connect with his character despite the exaggerated premise.
Keerthy Suresh delivers a graceful performance, looking elegant and natural throughout. Her chemistry with Sivakarthikeyan is lively and adds warmth to the story. The supporting cast, including Sathish and others, provide humor at the right moments, preventing the film from feeling too stretched.
On the technical side, the film is a visual treat. The cinematography is vibrant, filled with bright colors that enhance the cheerful mood of the story. Anirudh Ravichander's music is another big plus - the songs are catchy, and the background score adds energy to both the romantic and comedy sequences.
Of course, the film has its flaws. The storyline is predictable, and some sequences feel overdramatic. The pace in the second half could have been tighter. Yet, the film compensates with its humor, engaging lead performances, and feel-good emotions.
Overall, Remo is a fun, colorful rom-com that entertains if you don't overthink the logic. It's perfect for those who enjoy lighthearted love stories with a humorous twist.

This story follows the generic premise of a guy chasing an already promised girl but the nurse get-up adds an interesting twist. However I think the over commitment to the nurse get-up takes away from the under explored complexity of the situation between the lovers. We don't see enough of a connection between them and rather we see the dynamic between Remo and Kavya instead of SK and Kavya. Either way - it is still light-hearted, emotional and a good entertainer. Siva and Keerthy shine and have good chemistry, and their onscreen prescence makes it a good watch - and the background music through from Anirudh does a good job of emphasising emotion throughout but especially in scenes where the emotion may not be as explicit. 7.1/10.
This movie garnered so much expectations, especially after its first look and trailer got released. This is such a great leap for a young actor like Sivakarthikeyan. First of all, kudos for his efforts. Everything came out well.
This one is a commercial entertainer which didn't fail to entertain. So to speak.
The whole movie basks on the lead character - Siva Karthikeyan - who, I should say, did a fantastic job. It takes some guts to portray such a female role and he did it in a very sensible manner. He was well supported by camera work of PC sir. Keerthy suresh and sathish did a commendable job in portraying their respective roles.
Pros - Siva, Screenplay (to some extent), BGM
Cons - Too much casting, not enough sub plots for each character.
Overall, its worth the watch. Just go and enjoy the performance of Siva. He is surely on a roll.
