Daghan is a doctor who tries to get his proficiency however, finds himself in jail. He loses his hope, his future, and the most beautiful days of his lives due the crime that he has never committed. He is sentenced to life imprisonment.

The series started very well, in a film noir mode, beautifully framed, developing at slow speed, with great cello solos in the background. I loved the very nuanced way Engin Akyurek portrayed Daghan, he has such an incredible palette of colors as an actor. I thought the story, though, took a bizarre turn when Ender&#39;s &quot;real&quot; father appeared, with a whole new cast of characters and less interesting subplots. With so much darkness and violence creeping in, the ending was predictable. Fahriye Evcen&#39;s depiction of Vildan/Selvi was not very convincing to me, perhaps because her character was so tortuous and all over the place. Whereas Daghan&#39;s love was so obvious in the way he gazed at her, she had trouble projecting her emotions, perhaps because she had to defend her brother at all costs, compromising with the enemy, all the while pretending to defend the law, the problem stemming mainly from the way the character was written. I liked Gulcan Arslan as Beril (Daghan was so unforgiving of her and so forgiving of Selvi) and Serpil Gul as Sahika, who brought some excitement, as a nice break from each of the parents&#39; constant nagging, but Sarp Levendoglu&#39;s portraying of Ender was too cartoonish. If I held out till the end, it was really because of Akyurek, whose acting was exceptional, as always.
