Since I am a fun of thrilling mysteries, i finally decided to watch this show!

So far it has done a great job of hooking me in and make me invested in the story and characters! At this point I can already tell from the production value and acting, that this show is not your average experience, but something more!

The episode has its suspencefull moments, even scary sometimes! You csn tell there is something going on that you cant wrap your head around! We get some pieces, but not enough for it to make sense, qnd thats what has me sold.. the sense of mystery!

It is clear you have to pay attention and it feels like even the small details will mater later on!

Deffinetely worth checking out!

When Dark was first announced, a lot of people compared the first german Netflix-production to Stranger Things. But i can tell, it is nothing like that. Dark is grittier, darker (no pun intended) and deeper. The first episode is one of the weaker ones, together with E2. As a german native speaker, some of the dialogue seems odd, no one would talk like that. The acting is a mixed bag as well, sometimes the performances are pretty strong, sonetimes they are way too dull (if you can call it that way). I guess this is because german film production is way behind, especially if you consider TV-shows. Almost every show here has really bad writing. On the technical level, there is nothing to complain. The cinematography and the lighting is phenomenal, by far the best i have seen in a german production since 2004's Downfall. The makeup and costume design fullfills it's purpose and the score is setting the perfect mood for the show.

Do yourself a favour and watch it. The first two episodes are a bit hard to watch (especially if you are a native speaker), but with episode 3 or 4, it get's so much better, becoming one of if not the best german TV-show ever.

This first episode is probably one of the spookiest and mysterious episodes, because as the series progresses we start to understand things and it becomes more and more interesting but loses the spooky atmosphere. This is a great episode to really get us interested in all the mysteries but sadly it is quite insignificant to the overall plot. This episode successfully sets the tone and introduces many of the main characters without being totally overwhelming. But in a show like Dark, maybe it could have been a bit more complicated to start out with. I can't say it's one of my favourite pilots even though Dark is my favourite show.

Dark S01E01 TV series with solid cinematographic techniques, from taking picture angles to the combination of lighting. The longshot in this first episode is awesome. With the strains of a strong scoring success gave a bold impression on this film. The premise given is fairly intelligent and unique. For acting there are still some expressions that are not strong enough to be in accordance with the ambience of the current situation.

The ending of the film that gives the effect "what's next?" Is very interesting.

It is hard to understand the story. The happenings of the past is most of the times refered which we don't know yet.Anyway we don't understand anything but it is a great work . Subtitle is greatly useful unless you know german.the English version is also there but it could affect the finishing of the series.
