Kim Koates is an amazing actor. I like him since his role on Sons of Anarchy. This is a great series and probably underrated. This is a mixture of Sons of Anarchy with a touch of Narcos. On the other hand, some plot holes or a bad script make some characters decisions unbelievable. Overall, If you loved The Sopranos and Peaky Blinders, give it a try, it is not as good, but pretty watchable.

I've been ignoring this series for a long time only to try it over a long weekend. It's very fast paced with many characters, sounded slow, but I got the story quite quickly. Too many deaths in the first season, but second seasons heads the narcos way and it's a different plot altogether for me. Compelling crime drama that gets better as it goes on. Second season builds right to the last minute. Please watch this and take no notice of any bad reviews.

I didn't enjoy the first season much but felt the show found its rythmn and stride in the second season, which was much improved.

Good writing and production values, excellent casting and performances by the leads, the show produces good suspense and gritty drama around the Montreal drug underworld.

Looking forward to a third season...

Season 1 is completely different to season 2.

Kim Coates is brilliant, didn't ever think I could see past him as Tig but here we are, he's Declan and he's smart, I think season 1 had a power vibe and season 2 a mix of that and ray Donovan, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Where do I begin? The first season played more on the realistic back story of Montreals infamous drug smuggling/back story to a well known crime family. The first season had less fiction and had so many surprising turns. The second season was fun. The story got fictional, but still kept you on the edge of your seat with every episode. I would love for a season three.

What more can i say? I smash out season 1 in one day and then I didn't realise I started Season 2. It's absolutely awesome.

Season 1: Incredible story telling and dramatisation, mixed with real life events and dates.

Season 2: Cringe. Pure cringe made for the masses.

Who are the joker brother and sister? Seriously mortician and the son from schitts creek ? They are horrible!!!!!

Just binged this series on a tip from a friend. Very good tip. Kim Coates surprised me. Knew him from the SOA but never knew how strong an actor hie is. Declan is a very believable if not lucky character. He's a bad man. The rest of the cast was solid. Well constructed story , both enjoyable and easy to follow. S2 was slightly better but no wasted screen time. All in all if you like Mafia/Cartel movies this will satisfy.

This isn't in-depth but basically aside the underworld crime elements, the violence, the gangster map and the code you expect, there is an emotional level you can't ignore. It taps into the level below, where the family reside and the "innocent" exist. Multiple stories and a wide range of who you fly a flag for... well acted, directed and engaging.

It starts with a lot of talks and sometimes looks kitschy, but luckily, I managed to try and see episode 2. From the end of episode 2 and until the end of season 2 - it's a wonderful, action full, interesting series.

This is one of those shows that could have went at least 7 seasons but they crammed it all in one season. It's really good but it would have been better if they stretched it a few seasons
